Music To Fuel The Soul

Heard a rumor about, Stephen King listening to the same music on loop to write his one of his books to the point his wife treathened to divorce him.

Currious as I was, I too wanted to try the methode go for 7 day's at it see what I can get out it, and log it.

So I decide to make a challenge for 7 days and, to use music playing the same song over and, over while writing my pieces, here's how my week got by.

Day 1: A Poem About Survival

Song: Last One Standing, ft. Polo G, Eminem & Mozzy

I enjoy this song, reminds me of a heroine who's burned out and, it inspired me to write for my current novel.

Day 2: Dialogue, chess game.

Song: Can Hear The Music (Oppenheimer Movie soundtrac)

The moment I'm closing my eyes and, listen to this song, I'm met once again with all the things, I thought I lost, like I'm back in time, being a child again, filled with: wonder, curiousity, learning passion and creativity. I can listen to this for hours, and yet never have a moment of boredom. The moment I get tired of this song, is the day I die. I used it to write a dialogue heavy scene between two of my characaters. That carries a lot of weight and, hidden themes that are build like interacte strings amongs the story line. I don't know what it is but, those pieces are those never written enough.

Day 3: Character growth scene.

Song: Into the Wild.

Needed a bit, more pep found it fitting, for one of the stories where a character, was finally getting the development and, freed themselves growing as a person.

After being dragged down, by everyone around them. (They where self-sacrifical driven). I love this song, as it represent a sense of wildness.

Day 4: Making a new OC

Song: Villain by: Smash Into Pieces

Underapreciate band, I really enjoy. I used it to make a new OC that's a suprisingly a villain but, not just for the sake of it but, neither did I want people to sympathize with them. Hard tasks, the song helped.

Day 5: Inspiration for a goodbye

Song: Diving Bell lycrish (Divisons) By Starset

Somehow this song got me, into a melodic mood, thinking back of lose I started to write my piece that I had for a book.

A character dealing with lose and, goodbye's near the end of the book. I enjoy this song a lot. The video clip they use alway's gives me inspiration like, it being about some near future in where we humans, are connected.

Calling from the bottom but, you don't hear me.

Day 6: A Poem the fragility of love shattering to pieces.

Song: By Poets of the Fall - Moonlight kisses

How could I not write about a fragile love song, while hearing this? It's tender and, every syllabile of the song feels like magic, I love the melodic lycrish they use. It gave great inspiration for a heartbreaking scene between two lovers, in a darker scene. I love the aestetics of POTF

Day 7: Inspiration for smoke and, fire.

Song: Eurielle - City of The Dead

I wrote a scene using this song, deciding that Latin text should be added. I love using other languagses in my works. The scene I wrote is about entering the city of the underworld, the imaginary I get inside my mind, about it, a river where there's calm water driving softly onto the stream occasinoally hitting against the cracks of the bones, that form the river beds. The air, darkness likecalmt before a thunderstorm.

SALVE ME, FONS PIETATIS

Thus ended my 7 day's of trying this methode.

After what felt like a short week, it ended overall.

I was glad to find the 1 hour version of many of these songs, having to reclick them the entire time was a bit, of a drag.

Think I will use it again like this, the continuity of it does helped me to get into the flow of things. Only problem was that it sometimes distracted me, from the more low-fi style music our none at all that I'm used to.
