Love Roulette
The blur in a narcissists discard
Last night I dreamed of a romantic moment.
A candlelit dinner by the burning coals of a bonfire.
On the Marrakech brown temple tile the color of an antique penny
It was a mysterious evening
We watched the sky as it went dark
It was like a solar storm in tornado season.
Forbidden Red with a dash of curry.
The inferno in the sky slowly went out to the night music.
An Indian sunset , like a Portuguese dawn.
It turned to a Black Sapphire and compass blue.
A siren inside me was going off.
As you sipped on a second pour of some royal liquor.
You were calm like an eccentric magenta.
My heart pounded as my stomach tied in a lovers knot.
I was all dressed up like a firecracker sitting in your lap of luxury.
Preparing myself for a game of Love Roulette with a heartbreaker.
Then you vanished behind a velvet curtain.
