The Beverly Hills, 90210 star, 54, and her husband Dave Abrams are marking 11 wonderful years of marriage, and Garth marked the milestone with a tender Instagram post showing the pair wrapped in a warm embrace at a sunlit restaurant.

“11 years ago💍,” she wrote. “Our life is full of surprises and turns. I’m so glad we found each other @dirvla.”

The Blind Date She Almost Turned Down

Their story began in December 2014, when a mutual friend suggested they meet, a proposal Garth nearly declined entirely.

After finalizing her divorce from Peter Facinelli in 2013, she’d spent years focusing on her own healing, sobriety, and personal growth. She admitted on her podcast, I Choose Me with Jennie Garth, that she “didn’t want to meet anyone new,” and only agreed to the date as a low‑pressure way to “practice dating” and rebuild her confidence.

“I was like, ‘I don’t need it, I don’t want it,’ and there it came,” she told PEOPLE. “I walked in expecting nothing, and left feeling like I’d known him forever.”

From the very first minute, Abrams broke through her guard. “He made me laugh almost instantly,” she recalled. “I was like, ‘Hey, he’s not just a pretty face. He’s actually funny, kind, and so easy to be around. I really liked this guy.’”

For Abrams, 45, the feeling was just as immediate: “I thought she was fun, beautiful, and refreshing, the kind of person who lights up every room she walks into.” By the end of the night, they’d shared a kiss and were already planning their next adventure together.

Three months later, he proposed. On July 11, 2015, they exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony surrounded by close family and friends at Garth’s quiet ranch in Los Olivos, California. When he saw her walking down the aisle, Abrams was left speechless.

“She was drop‑dead gorgeous,” he gushed afterward. “In that moment, nothing else mattered, no cameras, no plans, nothing. I just lost it.”

Building a Life and a Family Together

In the years since, they’ve built a partnership rooted in patience, laughter, and showing up for each other through every high and low.

On their eighth anniversary, Garth shared throwback wedding photos and reflected on how much they’ve grown side by side:

“I thank the stars above for our marriage. It hasn’t always been easy, we’ve had hard days, big changes, and plenty of lessons, but it has changed us both into more patient, loving, and understanding humans, not just with each other but with everyone around us.”
