āWho did you look up to as a child?ā (The male version)
As a child, I looked up to my dad, my , and if weāre returning to āThe Little Mermaidā, I admired Sebastian as well (I had a crush on him honestly š).
My dad was and still very much is a jokester, heād invent stories of literal nonsesnse that we enjoyed to hear as kids.
He is a warm person, loving and caring, and he puts his kids first. In the last few years, weāve been through difficulties within the connection, but weāre working on it.
My uncle is a very unique person. Heās a massagist (well, thatās actually something he does from the side) and heās actually not my uncle by blood, but heās married to my aunt.
Together, my uncle and aunt raised four amazing, successful, considerate and skilful children (which are older than me so they donāt count as āchildrenā, but well you know what I mean).
I remember my uncle had this phone, perhaps a BlackBerry but Iām not sure, and that phone had a stick pen that he allowed us to play games with. It was dope.
My dad had a BlackBerry too, and I loved that phone, I played games with it too, the one with the metal ball on a skateboard (well not really a skateboard, but a board, that evades colorful blocks.)
Back to my uncle - his family and he have a house which to this day I really enjoy visiting. It has a yard and a a few floors which as a child - and to this day - seemed and seems cool for a house. All of the meetings there were filled with lightheartedness and fun.
In general, the whole extended family would meet up in holidays, birthdays and festivities like weddings. Some of those holidays or meetings were and are at that house, some at other uncleās house or my grandmaās and grandpaās house, some meetings at restaurants or cafĆ©s.
But I had a neat childhood, and thereās no denying (no, no :)
Sebastian. Honestly, I thought he was handsome. And cute. The dimples, the black hair, the kind eyes, and the whole sweetheart personality that he has.
I loved his dog, which was a cutsie pie, and the fact that he had him and the fact that he had him as a pet, plus, their connection adds something graceful and loving to his personality.
Thatās because animals are exploited a lot and they are given to the mercy of people (By the way, Iām reading now āThe Art of Racing in the Rainā and the point of view is of a dog named Enzo and his owners.
The owners are Danny, a car racing professional driver, and his wife and little daughter. You should read it because itās such a good book. Thereās also a movie based upon it with Amanda Seyfried as one of the main characters).
I think that Sebastian and Ariel had a similar personality: Always smiling, so graceful, with kind eyes and hearts that carry clarity and innocence within them, pureness of heart, and a little shyness that is just adorable.
I also admired Sebastianās leadership skills.
So thatās it for todayās challenge, I hope youāll join along and make something meaningful, healing and freeing out of this. I also hope that my writing had healed you somehow, maybe a memory or a feeling came up, perhaps laughter.
I wish you a great day or night, whenever youāre reading this, that youāll seize the rest of the year and alchimize beautiful things out of it, be it goals achieved, success or old/ new dreams coming true.
With love,
Maya
