The prompt is from here

ā€œWhat was your earliest childhood memory?ā€œ

Okay so, my earliest childhood memory is actually from a very young age. I don’t remember precisely which age it was that I experienced it, but I was young. very young.

The thing is, it isn’t such a grand, details filled memory. It wasn’t even anecdotal. It is a small, two sentence memory.

The memory is: a snow falling down. At the balcony of our house back then. I remember a feeling of magic and serenity falling over me, a sort of etherealism.

It’s from those memories you doubt ever existed. Like a sort of dream. A hallucination. ā€œMaybe it never even happenedā€ - You think. ā€Maybe I imagined it.ā€

Now, it was merely snow falling down. A scenario that has happened many times before, will happen many times in the future, and is quite a mundane experience to have in planet earth.

And I’m sure it did happen to me and indeed was my first memory.

The thing is, I doubt it because it feels like it happened to me on a very young age. Something like age one or two.

According to that evaluation, it has happened in an age so young that I could not have possibly remember it.

But who knows? maybe I was two years old. Maybe I was one year old.

There are so many things that seem like hallucinations. Like dreams.

Like something that never had happened and still affects us today, consciously or subconsciously. Maybe it does not affect us at all, or very little.

That’s not the point. The point is, sometimes we gaslight ourselves to think that something important or meaningful has never happened.

Sometimes it’s just our mind tricking us, making us view things in a sorta distorted way. Sometimes we’re not sure if it’s a memory or a dream.

But sometimes, we gaslight ourselves to think that the memory of us succeeding, achieving something, doing something, or experiencing something that has touched ourselves deeply, never happened.

We think that we exaggerate. That it’s all in our minds. sometimes, it’s not our mind playing tricks on us. It’s us playing tricks on the mind.

It’s us distorting things and seeing things not as they are, but as we make them to be.

Through the lens of our own insecurities, we see the world as the illusions we make it to be, as our subconscious steers the way.

The memory of the snow falling, was an innocent memory of pure magic and bliss. The way I remember it is from a toddler point of view. Truly, a naive, innocent, primary point of view. That’s how I remember it.

As if something from my toddler years has been preserved. Like an ammonite preserving the beginning of my journey, as a soul visiting earth for a while, lingering, staying, and in the future, at the end of her journey, returns.

We are all mere souls. mirror souls. We mirror each other. Frequencies, that like a stone hitting the water, affect each other in ways we aren’t even aware of.

So, when we act upon our needs, we might affect someone so that his needs are fulfilled, as well.

And how do I connect that to what I wrote about earlier? About the illusions? Sometimes, when we are functioning in communities, our illusions dissolve.

Our minds get clearer, sharper, and we feel like we belong. this life is about changing, evolving into the person we were always meant to be.

It’s about disillusionments, being part of a whole, and about loving ourselves so that we could break those illusions, and be part of this world while we’re in it.

And it’s about believing in ourselves and to ourselves, so that we could deeply take care of the soul we were given.
