How to Get the 1st 1000 Customers and Grow Your Business?

Remember the one who focuses on the goal is the one who will achieve the goal. You need to have passion in what every you do. Your dreams should match your reality. Its very important to focus on what you need but not your wants. Same is the case when it comes to business. When starting a new business many in-fact all face some kind of problems when it comes to acquire the 1st 1000 customers to a business.

Here we will be discussing about what strategies and techniques must be applied so that getting the 1st 1000 customers becomes much easier. These strategies and techniques will only work if you really work on it. Dont expect results to come on it's own just by reading this article. Be a action taker.

Let's BEGIN :

The one who complains often is the one who looses often. You will have to start from the very scratch or in other words FREELANCING. We often make the simplest mistake which in result leaves behind a big loss.

DO NOT FOLLOW THIS PROCESS : FIRE - READY - AIM

ALWAYS FOLLOW THIS PROCESS : READY - AIM - FIRE

The most common mistake which business owners make is to start something which is totally against their passion. You need to have deep passion in what ever you do. This will not only help you to stay focused but will also help you in your long run in your business.

When you start something new. Your main focus should be the costumers and not the profits. It's good to think about the profits but not always. During the first few months of your business you should focus on, how to get maximum customers, ones you get the attention of the customers it will be easy for you to do business in future, because most of them will be repeatable customers.

Here are few points how to attract customers during first few months :

1. Minimise the price & Maximise the attraction : This is very helpful specially when you are starting. In the beginning what you need is customers, which is hard to get, so what do you do? simply lower the cost of your product for the first few months of your business. This will not only help you with new customer acquisitions but will also help you to retain your current customers because you will also build trust at the same time.

Identify your top skills, recall your biggest achievements, recall where did you save the most amount of money. Try giving the products at low cost and the moment you get the maximum number of customer then slowly increase the price but remember do not hurry. Give offers to your customers so that they keep on reaching you on a continues basis. RETAIN YOUR CUSTOMERS.

2. FOCUS ON YOUR SPECIALISATION : Work on what you are good at or something which you know that you can make it happen. Specialisation heightens reputation. The more you be specialised in something the more reputation you increase for yourself. Remember to play smart and safe.

Don't run behind other business ideas, no-one can make the second Apple or the second Google. So it's better to be gripped in what you are good at.

3. GET THE EYE OF A CUSTOMER : This is very important. Start seeing from the customers point of view. Understand what they want, their needs and then work accordingly. This will help you be emotionally connected to a customer and the moment you do it will be difficult for the customer to switch the shop.

When you think from the customers point of view, simply means that you are focusing on their needs and that's exactly what you have to do. Think that you are the customer, what would be your perception? that's all you have to do.

4. NARROW YOUR SIGHT : There are two types of misses which most businesses make while doing a sale. These two mistakes are :

(selling to everyone, selling cheap), keep in mind that not everyone is your customer. You will have t make a habit of listening 99 no's before you hear that one single yes. Do go behind every person because not all are yours customers.

SELLING CHEAP : Here selling cheap makes a different sense, don't be confused between what was said earlier. Yes, it's good to reduce the cost of your products for the first few months to acquire potential customers.

Here selling cheap means, forcefully selling your products at cheap price to bring out customers. This is result is loss of your business because you are forcefully selling your product despite the loss just because you don't have costumer base, that's a bad, really bad idea.

5. FIRST WIN THE SMALLER MARKETS : It's always good to start humble. While doing or starting a business, target the smaller markets first. This will help you to build the confidence and won't impact when you don't perform well. Grow your initial profits by targeting the small markets first. Increase your sales and then move ahead to a bigger market with great confidence.

6. DON'T FOUCUS ON MULTIPLE SEGMENTS : The worst mistake some business owners do is that they start focusing on multiple segments when starting their journey. When you focus on multiple segments there are high chances that your ideas wont work because you are focusing on different consumers, different needs at the same time.

Hold on for a while be perfect on one particular segment and then slowly grow your potential to different segements.

7. FOCUS ON VALUE CREATION : While starting, focus on value creation first. Ask yourself that what can you provide to a customer that will add value. This will help you build your brand as well as your personal identity.

When you do find a customer you think that can be benefited from your service, then comes money, see that the potential customer has money to get your services or not.

Always ask these questions to yourself when you do a business. This will really help you grow in a healthy manner. Have a look below :

a. See to it that your customer has money to buy the product or not?

b. Is there a reason for your customer to buy your product or services or not?

c. Is your customer a decision maker or not?

d. Can your customer pay the money in advance before they get the product?

e. Can you make the product available for your customer as quick as possible?

f. Is there a competition barrier in your particular segement?

g. What will you do next if you will in the particular market you have targeted?

Make a mini biography of your real customer. This will help you to understand your customers well. If your customer is a female, this will have a different marketing style and if your customer is a male then it will be different.

YOU DON'T GET PAID FOR THE TIME YOUR SPEND BUT YOU GET PAID FOR THE VALUE YOU CREATE TO THE ONE SITTING NEXT TO YOU.
