The Creator Economy is a booming industry estimated to be worth $104 billion and growing. With the rise of social media and YouTube, people have been profiting more than ever from their content. The problem is that not all creators know what they need to protect themselves legally.

Creators Legal is the first legal platform built for the creator economy. It provides creators with a personalized legal plan and helps them cover their bases legally so they can focus on what they do best: creating content!

What Is The Creators Legal Platform?

Creators Legal, launched in September 2021, is an online platform that offers legal services to creators of content on the internet. They want to make it as easy as possible to legally protect your content, even if you’re not an expert in contracts.

Creators Legal provides creators with a wide variety of custom contracts created by seasoned content and media attorneys, as well as the resources you need to adapt to the dynamic nature of the creator industry.

How Does Creators Legal Work?

There are over 200 contracts offered on the platform. For a low one-time fee or a regular subscription, you can document, finalize, and file your legal agreements in a digital suitcase in minutes.

Every step of the procedure on the Creators Legal platform is quick, easy, and intuitive.

First, creators need to sign up for a free account, and then they can select from among many different contracts and pre-made bundles. The contracts currently offered include those for content creators, social influencers, self-publishing, filmmakers, podcasters, musicians, photographers, web series, artists & galleries, and NFT creators.

Some of the specialized contracts offered include an Influencer Agreement, Digital Creator (Tiktok reels), Talent Agreement, Podcast Sponsorship, Podcast Guest Release, NFT Developer Agreement, Film Director and Editor Agreements, Influencer Sponsorship, Photographer Contract, Social Media Brand Ambassador, and much more.

Intuitively navigating this site is a breeze, and your contracts are easily tailored to the individual needs of your projects with the help of their built-in Form Builder.

After preparing your contract, acquiring all parties’ signatures takes only a few clicks, thanks to their speedy and secure signature system powered by HelloSign.

Project Briefcase is a free, secure dashboard that allows the creator to keep track of all contracts, from first drafts to finalized, paid, and signed versions, and provides instant access to any of these documents by download or sharing.

Pricing

You can select from three different pricing tiers. Starting at $19, their single-use contracts are very affordable. A monthly unlimited-use plan is $40.00 per month, and their annual subscription plan is just $108.00 (which works out to only $9.00 a month).

Bundled contract packages covering individual niches (for example, their “Professional Photography Package” or “Content Creators Package”) start at only $39.00 for 6 to 9 legal documents. However, I’ve seen competitors offering similar bundles for $500 to over $1,000. Google “contract bundles,” and you’ll quickly see what I mean.

My Verdict?

I highly recommend Creators Legal, especially their All-Access Plan. Their contracts can be used as often as possible for your projects, helping you to organize, safeguard your connections, and shield yourself and your company from legal liability.

And with any contract template package you buy online, I highly recommend you take the templates you create to an attorney to have them looked over and tweaked as necessary to fully comply with the requirements of your state or country’s laws.
