Real Estate Postcards

If real estate agents and brokers want to stay in their clients' minds, sending a postcard is for sure one of the most practical ways to do so. A postcard can be used by a real estate agent to send out mass mailings to possible client addresses. Although direct mail marketing is an inexpensive way to reach large numbers of people with little effort, real estate postcards are eye-catching enough to entice clients.

Mail Marketing or Sending Postcards?

The use of hard mail for marketing looks just as outdated in an age of ultra-rapid communication defined by email marketing, social media, and the internet. In fact, according to Forbes, real-time data access, specialized mobile support, and the consumerization of technology are three of the "four trends" that are reshaping the commercial real estate industry. Therefore, it seems almost absurd to us nowadays to entrust a paper-based, analog tool like a postcard with our real estate marketing communications, which convey information about investment prospects for smart buildings and the like. However, is it really so? Shouldn’t we use real estate printing?

Do People Like Postcards in the Real Estate Industry?

Direct mail, also known as "hard mail on paper," is practical, simple, and easy to inspire. The really interesting fact, though, is that postcards function the best out of all the other kinds of mailing pieces. The likelihood that the recipient will read a standard 4" x 6" real estate postcard is high. In fact, according to the Direct Marketing Association, which produces the official guide on industry statistics, postcards are read 51% of the time, which is nearly twice as often as the next closest mail form.

Postcards work well and efficiently in a variety of ways. Working with a professional company to design them will provide you with many options in terms of style, layout, and messaging strategy, and they are quite inexpensive to make. Real estate postcards are also generally affordable. According to statistics, every 100 postcards should result in up to four investors interested in learning more about your offering. A good quality list has an average response rate of just under 4%. Real estate postcards should have the following qualities:

  • Strong design
  • Outstanding imagery
  • Clear text, just like any other well-done marketing piece

You stand a better-than-average chance of success with those components because they are supplied directly to your intended audience.

Results of Sending Postcards

Focusing on social media and search-based internet ads for marketing seems logical in today's device-based world. While these fields are unquestionably significant, traditional strategies like real estate postcards still have a place in the toolbox of the well-rounded agent, particularly when tackling the real estate industry. Real estate agent postcards are a tried-and-true, low-cost marketing strategy for real estate professionals. A well-designed postcard will produce both short-term and long-term results. You'll at least see an increase in website registrations and emails, possibly on the same day that your postcards are sent. In a best-case scenario, you'll get more calls in your real estate market with demands for both buying and selling.
