Tammy Reese:

What inspired you to get into your field?

Dan Gregory:

The films "Scent of a Woman" & "Carlito's Way". Watching Al Pacino play two vastly different characters made me want to do the same thing.

Tammy Reese:

What do you love about the work you do?

Dan Gregory:

It's almost never routine or boring while filming or doing stage work. Playing characters has become a fun escape for me. I hope to make a long career out of it.

Tammy Reese:

What are some hardships?

Dan Gregory:

Doubt. Knowing the odds are against you and still having to courage to pursue the business despite a lot of sacrifice. Also, having to supplement my income with other work to make ends meet.

Tammy Reese:

Who in your field is an inspiration to you? Why?

Dan Gregory:

Morgan Freeman sticks out because he "made it" later in life. I've been at it 12 long years and it's starting to pay off artistically. I've been fortunate enough to get some accolades for my performances. Next step is to get my big break financially.

Tammy Reese:

How has the pandemic changed the work you do?

Dan Gregory:

It stopped all productions temporarily. I've tried to see the positive aspects of it. It gave me time to send my work out to various online festivals as well as do some screenwriting. My girlfriend, Jayleen S Perez (Award Winning Latina Director) and I have a couple new short films ready to shoot when the world reopens!

Tammy Reese:

How has the pandemic shaped your personal life?

Dan Gregory:

I can't really travel or attend any concerts or sporting events at the moment. I've also learned to appreciate exercising outdoors because the gyms are closed. I CAN'T complain because a majority of my family and friends are safe. It's heartbreaking to know that many people have passed because of this pandemic. I pray for the world to heal soon.

* Won Best Actor in a short film at Continental Film Festival in Canada for performance in "Karmen"

*Cast in upcoming Frog Boyz sketch cartoon. Starring Sean Newman.

*Cast as a second lead Jeff in The feature Horror film "Buzzkill Palm Beach" shooting later this year in West Palm Beach & Belmar, New Jersey. Directed by Joe Vrola.

* Cast In a major role as T-Rav in "Cult of Blood" shooting in Kansas City 2021. Directed by Robbie Lopez.

*Featured on iHeartRadio: "LBJ The Heartfelt Truth- award winning Actor Dan Gregory podcast"

* Featured on the Mama Rose show which was published online in "Broadway World".

Also I'm currently working on booking acting roles in new films that are in the pre production stage. I'm also trying to better myself. Eating healthier, doing cardio, and reading. It balances out the Miller Lite and cigar nights.

" Experience is the best teacher."

Tammy Reese:

What are some memorable moments in your career so far?

Dan Gregory:

A four part answer!

1- Working with Narrow Bridge Films (Bayonne NJ film company) on some indie films. I'm very proud of "Cabin Of Errors", "Tell Me Something Good", and the web series "Lost and Found". "Cabin" is available on Amazon Prime and the latter projects are available at stream at www.narrowbridgefilms.com. It's fun to work with talent like Sam Platizky, Isaac Platizky, Joey Mosca, Jenna Kildosher, Sammi Saad, Billy Farley, Sean Feuer, and Maggie Perez to name a few.

2- Meeting Oscar Nominated Eric Roberts on the set of the upcoming feature "The Elevator". Directed by Jack Andrew Cook. I have a speaking role as a cop in the film. It's in post production.

3- Working with Emmy Winner Obba Babatunde on the short film "Speculo" He was a wonderful teacher for me.

4- Winning Best Supporting Actor on the Same night Jayleen S. Perez won Best First Time Director at the March 2020 Brightside Film Festival in Jersey City, NJ. We both won for our work in her debut film "Karmen".

Tammy Reese:

What's some advice for anyone who wants to join your field?

Dan Gregory:

Experience is the best teacher. Find somebody that wants to direct, get a camera or an iPhone and make a f****** movie. Drop anybody who doesn't fully support you. You may lose friendships and relationships but NEVER quit if it's your dream. I believe in you.
