CoronaVirus - The Heroes That Serve US

No doubt, a ripple often starts from the smallest part of the ocean, but once generated, the entire face of the water gets a share of it!

A good read from The Pediatric Infectious Disease Journal helped me understand the history of Corona Viruses which could be traced to several decades ago but lets turn our focus to the Corona Virus of today code-named Covid-19, a pandemic that has to some extend put the world to a temporary stop, if not permanent! It is said to have originated in Wuhan City of China.

The Ripple Effect

Who could ever thought a little virus that germinated in Hubei City of Central China - Wuhan, with approximately 11 million people would take over the earth, halt economic activities, result to economic disruption across the world to the point where multinationals are begging staffs to go on Unpaid leave and in some cases downsizing in order to avoid a total collapse?

Who could imagine a tourist metropolis such as Dubai would someday send series of distress calls to its citizens and residents, begging them to stay indoors or something called "Observing Social Distancing". What about America? The world power. I could see the sweat dripping from President Trump's face, even though he makes a good number of wipes before manning the podium each and every time he has to address his subjects and the world.

Something, a virus that was detected by a young doctor who also raised an alarm but met his untimely death for doing has grown so much to an extent where the life of billions of people today depends on just a few heroes who i am going to send word of thanks by way of this article.

Coronavirus has raised a good number of heroes and heroins and these ones deserve nothing but many thanks for their gallantry and always working around the clock to ensure the world remains a safer place for all

1. The Health Workers - The health workers have and continue to invest their time and energy, risking their own lives and that of their families just to ensure the lives of the infected few are saved.

There are cases where a few cases have actually contracted the deadly virus because of course, they are in direct contact with infected patients.

For all your hard work, your sleepless nights and unending shifts, i want to say a very big thanks. May heaven reward you greatly for all you've done and continue to do in order to save humanity

2. The Policemen - because of the Covid-19 Pandemic, a lot of countries have had no option rather than taking drastic steps towards ensuring a safer place exists for humanity.

Among these drastic measures is the Proclamation of national emergency by countries around the world, including the united states of america and the policemen are the only men out there sticking out their heads to ensure these laws are strictly followed.

To all policemen out there. No matter where you're from, no matter your race or ethnicity, i want to say a very big thank you. Thank you for trading your sleep for my safety.

3. Delivery Men/ Dispatch Riders

It doesn't matter where you are stationed, i don't care what you get paid, your race or ethnicity, i just want to say a very big thank you for always riding through the hot sun just to get us pizza, Tacos, a mail or whatever.

You are the best we ever got and without you, this social distancing and self isolation would be a near death experience - Just imagine a world where no one is kind enough to get a piece of Pizza to the house!

4. Chefs, Kitchen Assistants

You guys are awesome! You are the best in the world. Despite the lockdown, single guys like myself while waiting for a good wife could afford some good meal. I Just had a good taste of Dal and it is awesome.

5. Grocery and Utility Workers - As a hustler who works with one grocery shop or the other, i understand how you feel this time around. Waking up in the morning, taking a bathe and heading off to the same streets that has been tagged unsafe for humans!

You are helping out. You are one of the most important humans in the world right now! Keep doing what you do, do not forget to always wear gloves and sanitize the hands before you accept cash from your customers

6. To Everyone else!

You are a hero! You are the best human in the world. Always ensure you stay safe, observe all social distancing laws as directed by your province. Do not forget to order food online and avoid social gatherings!
