When you know you're underqualified for the job, it's difficult to trust yourself in interviews. You're starting to feel like a fraud. So, what are your options?

Three years of experience is required for the majority of jobs (plus four years of college). It is common advice for people in this circumstance to apply for any job that comes their way, even if they do not fit all of the requirements, because companies will demand more experience than they have.

Otherwise, if you meet 80% of the requirements, you are eligible to apply.

You must list any qualities you possess that are relevant to the position in your CV and during the interview. Otherwise, you're allowing the employer to make assumptions, and you might as well skip this step if you have prospects with stronger resumes.

If you have the feeling that the system is broken and that it would be better if companies invested in training for those with less experience, you are correct. However, this is the system, and we have no choice but to work with what we have.
