Question: How did the idea for your business come about?

Answer: Honestly working in the Public Relations Field was something that I was doing unknowingly, I decided one day to take it serious and created my own Public Relations Firm Barnes Media Group.

Question: How do you find people to bring into your organization that truly care about the organization the way you do?

Answer: People began to seek me out after they saw my work and the types of placements I was able to get my clients.

Question: What three pieces of advice would you give to others who want to become entrepreneurs?

Answer: Try, Fail, Try! You have to be able to try whatever goal you have in mind and if you fail you have to try again, the fear of the unknown is what usually keeps people from not achieving their dreams, and at least when you fail you have a blueprint on what to do differently the next time around.

Question: If you had the chance to start your career over again, what would you do differently?

Answer: Absolutely nothing , I am at the right place in my career and that is due to all of the trials I was able to overcome at the beginning of my career , the lessons, relationships and things I have been able to accomplish I would not change any of that .

Question: What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful entrepreneur?

Answer: As an entrepreneur you must be able to manage your time, delegate and no when to say no. Often as an entrepreneur you are tasked with managing multiple clients and projects so time is essential, that is why being able to delegate and having a strong team is crucial sometimes you just have to say no.

Question: What have been some of your failures, and what have you learned from them?

Answer: I don’t consider any of my mistakes failures only lessons, because they are all things that I have been able to grow from.

Question: How many hours do you work a day on average?

Answer: Huh! There is no specific time, projects and deals must be completed so there is no specific work hours as an entrepreneur .

Question: Describe/outline your typical day?

Answer: A typical work day consists of a variety of conference calls with clients/brands and also being able to have a flexible schedule because travel can pop up at any time.

Question: How has being an entrepreneur affected your family life?

Answer: My family understands that what I am doing is to impact us in the long run so they understand

Question: What motivates you?

Answer: My biggest motivation is my one year old daughter everything I do is so that she can have a life that is stress free , creating opportunities for her.
