Bhola movie review

Genre :

  • Thriller, Drama.

Performances:

  • An ever-reliable performer, Ajay also has you rooting for Bholaa , an absentee father waiting to unite with his daughter
  • As a protagonist here, he is a man of very few words, who shows all his angst and pain through his eyes.
  • His co-actor of many movies, Tabu, proves that she is as convincing landing action chops as she is showing off her acting prowess
  • Performance by Ajay Devgan was really amazing as BHOLAA and performance by tabu was really brilliant and the pair of Ajay Devgan and tabu will give you vibe of Drishyam performance by Deepak dobriyal was really brilliant and outstanding he was just living the role vineet kumar was really brilliant, Sanjay Mishra was also good, Gajraj Rao was also brilliant
  • Tabu seems to be becoming a pro at playing a cop
  • Performance by markand Deshpande, arpit ranka, Kiran Kumar, lokesh mittal , deepali Gautam, tarun gehlot and Chetan Sharma etcetera was really good in the supporting roles where amala Paul presence and innocence was enough to make love with audience
  • Abhishek Bachchan cameo of 2 mins is really exciting and mind bending to watch him in Bholaa
  • Deepak's acting was so natural that I even forgot that he was the only one who was with R. Madhavan in Tanu Weds Manu.

  • Dobriyal in a completely psychotic and menacing role is unbelievably brilliant
  • Deepak Dobriyal, as the evil and unpredictable Ashwathama, is impressive. He is one actor who knows when to pull out the stops – as the main antagonist here, he is brutal and flamboyantly evil.
  • Ajay sir has done a great job as director and his actions and acting was brilliant as always

Technical values:

  • Bholaa is so fast-paced that one actually needs time to sink in an action sequence unfolding onscreen before the next one comes up.
  • Bholaa is Adaptation of Lokesh kannagraj's Kaithi starring Karthi where the Kaithi was made with intelligent writing and raw and realistic with action and direction where scenes of Kaithi are really irreplaceable like biryani and bade maa Gun and in Bholaa
  • where action scenes are really enjoyable and great and VFX was really fantastic and mind blowing action sequences where direction of Ajay Devgan is really fantastic
  • The BGM played throughout the movie and especially when Ajay reunites with his daughter, the BGM played was superb
  • BGM and music is really goosebumps and madness in the movie where screenplay was really good which will try to keep you engaged
  • The film is entirely shot at night and is mostly dark, highlighting the imagery and graphics isn't an easy feat in this case* A truck, three people on board (and over a dozen cops), endless roads and a long dark night – this is what sets the tone of the film
  • This high-octane drama has a lot of twists and turns, literally, intense moments and adrenaline-pumping, raw action.

  • The action, the story, the actors, the acting, the plot, everything has been treated with immense care and perfection.
  • Engaging screenplay by Aamil Keeyan Khan, Ankush Singh, Sandeep Kewlani and Shriidhar Dubey does the trick
  • Aseem Bajaj’s cinematography, creates interesting imagery throughout the film,
  • An able supporting cast, including Sanjay Mishra, Gajraj Rao and Vineet Kumar, aid the narrative
  • The background score had scope for improvement.
  • The 3D effect actually is visible.

  • The last minigun showdown scene is actually modern depiction of Shiv Ji's third eye opening,
  • It's literally a montage of one brilliant action sequence after the other, but the mindless stunts can impress you only till they last
  • The cliff-hanger in the climax gets you super curious and the film ends on a 'to be continued' note,

To Summarize :

  • An enjoyable Remake with mass elements

Highlights:

  • Well-choreographed stunts
  • Brilliant action sequence
  • 3D effect
  • Good cinematography
  • Engaging screenplay

Drawback:

  • Story is so side-lined

Overall:

  • Mass entertainer

My rating-4/5
