For her role, she received four “Soap Opera Digest Awards,” a “Daytime Emmy Award,” and “Fan Voted Daytime Emmy Award.” In 2007, Alison started hosting the fourth season of “The Biggest Loser” and continued the show till its sixteenth and the last season.

She completed her school at Foothill High School and was admitted to the University of California, Los Angeles, to study economics. However, she had to leave her studies mid-term as she was committed to the “Days of Our Lives” series. Sweeney married David Sanov after dating him for almost three years in 2000.
Career
Alison made her debut on television through a Kodak commercial at age 5. In 1985, she was invited as a guest in the NBC medical drama series ‘St. Elsewhere,’ and ABC sitcom ‘Webster.’ In 1987, she appeared in a short film, “The Price of Life,” playing the role of Dana Anderson. She was one of the main cast of the ABC sitcom ‘Family Man,’ appearing as Rosie Tobin, which was telecasted in 1988; however, the show was short-lived.
Later the following year, Sweeney appeared in a mini comedy-drama series, “Brand New Life.” In this show, Alison is cast as Christy McCray, playing the role of the daughter of Barbara McCray. The film story is based on Barbara McCray, a waitress and struggling divorced mother of three teenage children. The whole family life comes on track after Barbara marries Roger Gibbon, a wealthy attorney and widower having three children of his own. They aired a total of five episodes of the show.
