A Brief Introduction to Islamic Tasbih

Tasbih has several interpretations in different traditions. In Islamic law, tasbih has two interpretations, both of which are authoritative. The first is commonly called the name or tasbih and is the traditional way to recite the Shahadat during Salah. It consists of a series of supplications or blessings by which Allah is believed to reward those who perform salat. This is considered necessary for the sustenance of Muslim life and is considered as an act of worship.

Other than this, tasbih or prayer beads are used in Islam to show respect and dedication to one's Creator. This act of giving was used to show the bride and groom's respect to Allah, and to also thank them for being able to enter into marital marriage.
