Tasbih has several interpretations in different traditions. In Islamic law, tasbih has two interpretations, both of which are authoritative. The first is commonly called the name or tasbih and is the traditional way to recite the Shahadat during Salah. It consists of a series of supplications or blessings by which Allah is believed to reward those who perform salat. This is considered necessary for the sustenance of Muslim life and is considered as an act of worship.

Taweez or tasbih means prayer tasbeeh beads or rings. They are circular in shape with 99 beads in a square inch. Most Muslims use it to make their own version of the name and recite tasbih while doing so. Taweez or tasbih are made from different types of stone and are available in many colors. You can choose from a variety of styles and the price will vary depending on what you order and the number of pieces.

A lesser-known but still highly important function of tasbih or prayer beads is to be worn by women during the day. During morning prayers, tasbih are placed around the waist to accentuate the elegance of the abayas. They are also worn during afternoon prayers in a similar fashion, but in the evening, they are taken off and replaced by black outfits, usually abates, that cover the waist and legs. The color associated with tasbih or prayer beads is always black, even if it is assumed that other colors were used in those days. Another variation is the belief that wearing white clothes or jewellery on the outside can be likened to showing off one's 'dirty' side.

Sometimes tasbih or prayer beads are referred to as Muslim wedding rings, even though they are traditionally worn for daily use by Muslim women. In the past, Muslims considered all unmarried men to be child-bearers so they were not allowed to marry. To appease their religious beliefs, they arranged marriages for their unmarried friends who did not want to leave their homes. As a result, some of these unmarried friends married others outside of their religion and took on their Muslim name. Their unmarried partners thus became tasbih or prayer beads. They would then leave their original name behind and marry the person of their choice with the blessings of their new family.

The practise of tasbih has now been extended throughout Muslim society and is taken quite seriously. It has now become a social occasion in much the same way Christmas is to Christians. It can also be considered a rite of passage for younger members of a family, especially if both of them are converts. Young boys sometimes give their mothers white Turkish prayer beads when they first give birth to them so that their mother would have an item of jewelry with holy Islamic significance. Sometimes it is also considered auspicious for newlywed couples to wear white prayer beads during the first few days of their married life to symbolise good luck.

Other than this, tasbih or prayer beads are used in Islam to show respect and dedication to one's Creator. When a Muslim married couple is asked to perform tasbih, it is customary to give them each a white bead as a gift of blessing on the wedding day. This act of giving was used to show the bride and groom's respect to Allah, and to also thank them for being able to enter into marital marriage. Each couple is also asked to repeat the words, "Allah is Greatest" three times after their tasbih ceremony so that they may have everlasting faith and devotion to their spouses.

Another way to show devotion and blessing to your loved ones is through using 99 beads or tasbih in your wedding ceremony. If you are not sure about how to arrange these things or where to purchase them, then you can ask for a group order from a wholesale tasbeh specialty store, which usually has an Islamic section. They usually offer beautifully handcrafted items to suit every person's needs.

Some other items which may be considered as miscellaneous are prayer beads, misbaha and zakat. Muslim prayer beads are used to make funeral wreaths. It is best that you order your prayer beads from a wholesaler like Tabletcraft because you will then be assured that all of your products will be high quality and original. It is also advisable to use misbaha and zakat together; this would mean that you can always keep up with the different traditions of your community and still be able to have a beautiful Islamic wedding. Also remember that when using these products you should always follow the dress code laid down by the holy sharia, which means that you should always wear the abayas and jilbabs which are mandated by Islam.
