There are many ways a person could earn money from the internet. Although, not all of them are safe and legitimate. That’s why it is necessary to do your own research before jumping into any online site that claims to make money.

This could also be a stressful thing to do.

However, in this article, I will give you eight side hustle ideas that you can start today in addition to your full-time job.

Have Your Own Blog

If you love to write articles, but don’t know how to earn from them, then you can have your own blog. It’s a straightforward process. To create a website you need hosting and a domain name, and to purchase them you need capital.

However, if you can’t afford to invest in a hosting service and domain then there is another option called Blogger, which is a product of Google. Here you can create a website for free, write good articles, and monetize them with Google Adsense to earn money.

Write For Medium Or Hubpages

If you don’t want to go through the hectic process of creating a website and applying for the Google AdSense program, then there is another option in which you can earn an extra income. It’s called Medium. In Medium, you can join the Medium Partner Program(I will get a portion of your fee) and earn money by writing a good article that gets views from its members.

However, if Medium doesn’t support your country then go for another alternative called Hubpages.

Publish eBook on Amazon KDP

If you have good writing skills and can write novels, short stories, or even a non-fiction self-help manuscript, however, no traditional publishing company is accepting it, then you can self-publish it with Kindle Direct Publishing Or KDP in short.

It is a platform offered by one of the largest eCommerce companies Amazon. Here you can publish your own book for free and earn a lot of money,

Offer your services as a freelancer

If you can do something better than a normal person, then offer your services and become a freelancer. However, you may ask what is freelance?

“A freelancer is an individual who earns money on a per-job or per-task basis, usually for short-term work”.

So when you are hired for only doing one or more assignments, and get the money according to that, not taking a limited monthly salary, then you are doing a freelance job.

There are many platforms where you can start, like Fiverr, Upwork, PeoplePerHour, etc. There you can create a gig or apply for thousands of projects in all categories.

Create a Youtube channel

Do you know the second biggest search engine after Google?

If your guess is right then it’s Youtube which is another service offered by Google.

You can make videos on any topic as long as it’s following Youtube’s guidelines. If you know how to cook, have technical knowledge, want to talk about books, or knows how to entertain people, anything that can solve a problem or make people feel better is a good topic to create your videos, and have a YouTube Channel.

And do you know the best thing? There is no upfront investment required. You only need a PC/laptop with an internet connection or even your smartphone, a good grip on your topic, creating amazing videos, and being consistent to become successful on youtube. To start making money from Youtube you need to acquire 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch time hours to be eligible for monetization.

Do affilate marketing

Affiliate marketing is not a new thing, but it’s still relevant and people are earning huge amounts of money. There are many affiliate programs available on the internet, but one of the most famous ones is Amazon associate program.

You can promote any of the millions of products available on Amazon and get a commission from each sale.

To earn from affiliate marketing though, you need a social asset, like an Instagram account, or Youtube channel with a good following/subscribers. You can also promote affiliate links in your own blog or website.

Sell courses

If you have knowledge about a particular skill, then teach it by offering a course. There are many sites where you can share your knowledge and earn a lofty amount of money. One of them is Udemy, where you can join as an instructor and sell your course.

However, there are other sites, like Skillshare, Allison where you can do the same thing. If you don’t want to go for a third-party site, then create an account on teachable and integrate it into your website. Or teach from there. Although teachable is not free.

Sell your products online

If you can design a beautiful necklace or a handmade bag, or maybe clay products, furnishers, home decore toys, artistic products etcetera, then welcome to Etsy. It is an American e-commerce company where people sell vintage, handmade or craft items.

There is a huge market and you can become a seller in one of the biggest eCommerce sites, Esty.

And do you know what is the best part? It is not as competitive as the other eCommerce sites like eBay or Amazon.

This article contains affiliate links to products. I may receive a commission for purchases made through these links.
