Most people don’t like to read long paragraphs written with boring plain fonts. That’s why they prefer visual contents that are far more interesting and pleasing to see and understand. Infographic is such visual content.

If you look up famous information bank sites or social media platforms you would see that people use infographics for the core components alongside texts. Cause people are more attracted to a styled image rather than some plain text.

And if you compare a page with and without graphics. You would see that the page with infographics has more views and visits rather than a page with none. Thus its usage and popularity are increasing day by day. Especially among marketers. They view as a hot tool to attract more visitors to their targeted brands.

But is it that easy? Create an image with loads of info that post it and tada! your business is booming.

Sadly that’s not the case. If it were like that then every site with an image would have been at the top and professionals wouldn’t be hired for making it. Though an image with information might seem simple at first glance trust me creating it was not that easy.

The complexity varies depending on the elements that are required to be included as well as the visualized design with complex shapes and elements. The real work is when you try to make this visualization with all these elements into reality.

Well the good thing is with advancement modern technology lots of thing has become much easier to do as a result various new ideas and techniques have begun to surface. Which makes the graphics more appealing and attractive.

But just blindly creating whatever you think of is not a wise decision. So let me give you some tips that might be helpful in improving your infographics.

# Choose wisely

Because you just need to increase your page value doesn’t mean that you can just use any type of infographics that are not even remotely related to your content. If you think that this can be overlooked because you are using high quality content then you are sorely mistaken.

Instead, it will do more harm than good. Cause using such infographics you are misleading your visitor and losing their trust. Also it also violet search engine regulations.

So it’s best to choose your infographics wisely. It’s should represent the content it’s meant for.

# Be original

Because of its growing popularity, every website uses it. But not everyone is a designer. So they either turn to professionals or buy stock images.

But not everyone can afford it. So, some tend to copy other’s images without their permission and use it for themselves. This will lead to copyright issues and not only will your site be banned from the search engines but also face legal issues as well.

It’s true you can’t afford it. Though you need it still that doesn’t justify your action. If you need a unique image there are a lot of free stock options and besides nowadays there a lot of editing tools out there that can be used to shape such free content into something that complements your site. For instance, if we look at the graphics using in a new website like “Streaming Plug” you would see that the images were tweaked and designed in a way that complements the contents.

# Check the posting platform

Before start creating it’s best to look up the platform that you are creating for. Don’t forget depending on the platform the infographics will also change.

For instance, suppose you have designed an infographic based on the client’s requirements but didn’t look at the platform that he wishes to post it on. Now if the color scheme or the style of writings don’t go with the platform environment then no matter how much quality and meaningful content it is, it won’t gain much traction.

# Make it sharable

Now when creating an infographic it’s essential to make sure that the contents and design are friendly enough to share across various platforms. Don’t make it in such a way that it only complements the intended site can’t be reused for other purposes like marketing promotion or social sharing.

# Optimize for search engines

We all know that if you want to see your site ranked top on the search engines. And for this we use seo. In seo we just follow some techniques that could help us to prep our site and its contents in such a way that when the search bots come they are satisfied. Report back that we have accomplished all the criteria for getting a high ranking. And among the infographics hold a top place. Thus it’s recommended that when using an infographic it’s best to optimize it according to the regulation of the search engine without hampering the quality.
