On Saturday, Elon Musk, CEO of Twitter, revealed that media publishers would soon be able to charge users on a per-article basis with a single click on the social media platform. He believes that this change will be advantageous to both the public and media organizations.

Set to debut in May, the upcoming feature will enable users to purchase individual articles at a premium price without committing to a monthly subscription." Musk wrote in a recent tweet.

"Should be a major win-win for both media orgs & the public," he concluded.

On Friday, Musk disclosed that Twitter would collect a 10% fee on content subscriptions following the first year, but no commission would be charged during the initial 12 months.

"And what about the authors who contribute such articles? In India, authors are paid minimal, and even nothing most of the time, even when they contribute very good articles. Although Musk didn't specifically comment on the criticism surrounding his Twitter Blue initiative that grants verification checkmarks to users who pay a monthly fee, he contended that he had to

As Musk endeavors to encourage more creators to utilize the social media platform, Twitter has revealed its pay-per-article feature. In an effort to monetize their content, creators across the globe are being urged by Musk to explore the possibilities of Twitter Subscriptions. It is promised that for the first year, Twitter will not claim any revenue from Subscriptions.

In the lead-up to his acquisition of Twitter for $44 billion, which was finalized in October, Musk has implemented modifications aimed at increasing the platform's revenue. This was necessitated by the fact that advertising revenue had declined on the platform the previous year.

Musk stated, "I believe the situation is relatively stable at the moment. It was swiftly heading towards bankruptcy after the acquisition, so I had to take drastic action. I had no other options."
