Turkish actress Hande Ercel aspires for Bollywood collaborations

Hande Ercel, the famous Turkish actress known for her roles in hit series such as 'You Knock on My Door' and 'Aşk Laftan Anlamaz', has gained a significant fan base in India for her mesmerizing performance in Turks dramas.
Recently, the actress visited India to attend the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Officers 2024.
At the event, she expressed her desire to collaborate with people Bollywood specific fame.
Speaking to PTI at the event, Ercel said, “I want to work with Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan and Sidharth Malhotra.
This is a good time to visit India.
A new door opened for me to cooperate in Indian projects.
» She also mentioned her admiration for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Dev Patel.
She specifically cited “PK” and “3 Idiots” as some of her favorite Indian films.
“Among directors, I admire Sanjay Leela Bhansali; he was in Cannes.
Since Hindi films are not shown in theaters in Turkey, I watched them all online," she said.
The actress felt "destined" to visit India.
"When the representative asked me if I wanted to attend this year's FICCI Frames, I immediately said yes because I had considered the visit.
I believe this is part of a universal plan," said a- Ms.
He conveyed through an interpreter.
At FICCI Frames, the actress attended a session titled 'From Bollywood to Turkish Drama: Acting Beyond Borders', along with actor Ayushmann Khurrana.
She appreciated Khurrana's musical talent and expressed her admiration for the song 'Mere Liye Tum Kaafi Ho' from the movie 'Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan'.
With nearly 32 million followers on Instagram, Ercel feels comforted when he sees actors collaborating on all fronts.
"It's inspiring to see so many people coming together both on and off screen, participating in creating films as cultural projects.
This marks an incredible exchange through art, where Emotions and the language of love transcend borders," she emphasized.
"For me, it's about self-discovery and accepting new experiences.
I really like to learn and that's why I wanted to come here and venture into Hindi films," -she pointed out.
Ercel expressed his joy at seeing his fans following in India.
"My popularity started with 'Gunesin Kizlari' about 10 years ago, but it really increased in this region with 'Ask Laftan Anlamaz'.
It's gratifying," she shared.
The actress points out that although Turkish TV series have a strong presence of women on screen, securing funding for female-led projects remains a challenge , even in her hometown.
"I have been involved in storylines with female leads, but investors and story writers were hesitant at first.
Today there has been a change and they are accepting such projects .
Times are changing.
" "Let's take a look at my recent project, 'Bambaşka Biri', in which my character Leyla Gediz, a prosecutor, takes center stage.
It's nice to see a character as tough and perfect as She is highly regarded in this genre.
" She continued: “In Turkish projects, there is always a balance between the roles of men and women.
Although we have protagonists of both genders, it is rare to find projects with only men in the lead roles.
