Fast Rising Hip Hop Artist: Barbie Doll Is Gaining New Heights In The Music Industry

An artist who has always gotten back up whenever they fall is an artist who can do everything to get to where they want to be. One who has such a variety of styles and sounds for the people to enjoy, with so much range to their approach they’re sure to have something for you to be a fan of. With an artist like Barbie Doll, she brings you the ultimate vibe of a sound and talent with her R&B/Hip Hop infused sound bringing all the vibes to make your head nod.

Barbie Doll also known as Alison Richardson is a multi-talented Hip-Hop sensation who was born and raised in Oklahoma City, OK. She is a certified licensed esthetician, abstract acrylic artist and a fashion designer who also designs her own outfits. Described as a ‘designer for sound’, Barbie Doll's music is a harmonious mix between soul and wild funk with a classic rock ‘n’ roll attitude which is family-friendly because she doesn't curse or use any explicit language in her songs.

Even though she is new to the game, she has been involved in the music industry for years. At the age of 18, she met an Oklahoma City rapper named Starr Lyfe whom she traveled with all over the US helping promote shows, learning about the music industry and eventually she learned how to rap. Wanting to see how the industry would react to having someone like her, she started rapping in May 2017 just for fun. All through her stay in the industry, it has been fun for her to see everyone’s response to my music (both good or bad).

After being inspired by some of her role models Chanel West Coast and Gucci Mane, she released her first music video, "Barbie World", which reached over 250,000 views on Facebook in just a couple of days. Because of the song's popularity, the producer offered her a trip to Paris, France and Amsterdam, Netherlands to shoot another video for her official single "Barbie Girl '' which reached over 3 million views within a week of posting. Her big move accumulated a HUGE number of followers which finally turned most of the hate into love being that she was the 1st female rapper to take Oklahoma hip-hop music OVERSEAS. Since then, she has released 3 more videos on Facebook and each of the videos reached over 3 million views within a week of posting.

It was all uphill from there but an unexpected pregnancy changed Barbie Doll’s life forever. She knew that she would have to take a backseat for a while so she shot 1 more video entitled “Mommy Barbie Doll” which for the 4th time in a row went viral on Facebook. But as soon as her baby was born she took a break from music for a couple of years because now she had the responsibility of being a mother 1st and entertainer 2nd. Now that her daughter is older, she is back and ready to shake up the entertainment world once again. Barbie Doll has proven to us that she has what it takes to be a successful music artist.

In a time where everything is so fast-paced, with so much being put out there for people to consume, it takes a lot for people to slow down. Something that always can have its own special touch is music. That thing that we all can go to at the end of the day, or when things are most hectic we can just hit play on one of our favorites and just unwind to the relaxing sound of the record. That type of feel is what you get from Barbie Doll on her recent song “Barbie Gang”.

Barbie Gang is a smash of a release from a promising creative who takes the listener on a ride they will want to keep coming back to. The music sounds good easily with a masterful approach to the music shining through in its care, but also damn good music that feels good to hear with a gold standard to the approach that makes us wait in anticipation for the upcoming song "push it".
