People who go looking for deep spiritual healing often struggle to find a space that feels real and free from everyday noise. A genuine place to disconnect, slow down, and reconnect with yourself is rare. The search for lasting change usually calls for more than a holiday. It asks for a setting built around intention, privacy, and personal growth.

Nick Eagle is a Sedona healer, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, and a Philosophy PhD. He recently opened the Eagle Vortex Healing Sanctuary, a private retreat set outside Sedona’s red rocks, on top of a vortex and on land he considers deeply sacred. We sat down with Eagle to talk about the new sanctuary, his own path, and what guests can expect from his one-on-one retreats.

Q: You opened the Eagle Vortex Healing Sanctuary after five years of vision and labor. What first drew you to build this retreat on this particular piece of sacred land in Sedona?

Nick Eagle: I was a few years into a ten-year plan to build a retreat center in Peru or Costa Rica. After my greatest awakening, I was told it was time, and that it needed to happen in Sedona. My greatest skill is listening, and I now know why I was called here and why it matters that I am here. This place needed me.

Q: The sanctuary has unusual structures, like the Sacred Healing Dome built to the golden ratio and the UFhOme set directly over a vortex. How do those design choices support the experience for your guests?

Nick Eagle: These are the most powerful and sacred lands I have ever come across, and I have seen half the world and many of its most sacred sites. The energy can take you places you could never imagine, with the right guide. Everything is designed to help you heal and to give you the deepest, best sleep possible, which raises your chances of connecting and waking up to something new. You can even place your organic mattress directly on the ground for full grounding into the red rocks. I never sealed the concrete.

Q: Your own healing journey started with a profound awakening in 2005. How has your path, including your work as a Philosophy PhD and a BJJ world champion, shaped the guidance you offer through Sedona Eagle Healing?

Nick Eagle: During that awakening, I made a vow to operate at the highest level and to master confidence, never knowing it would lead me here. I had never done yoga before my full chakra Kundalini awakening, and I did not even know what those words meant. When we master confidence, we master ourselves, and we learn how much these spiritual practices matter for healing and growth. My experiences let me help people in every way, including the one that matters most, which is leaving fear behind.

Q: The property has striking natural and built features, like the Enlightenment Lagoon and a 50-foot outdoor temple facing Bear Mountain Peak. How do guests use these spaces during a stay?

Nick Eagle: Every first-time guest takes part in a retreat experience, and I offer many options. I greet all guests myself, give a tour, and lead a meditation. Most retreat mornings include guided meditation and warrior movements in the temple, and guests are welcome to use everything at any time during their stay.

Q: You focus on private, one-on-one retreats rather than large group sessions. Why does that personal approach matter so much for the kind of deep healing you want to make possible?

Nick Eagle: I do not need to pack this place out. For the deepest and best work, a person cannot be distracted. Every guest who has followed my guidance has had a major awakening and left here changed. I know what I am doing.

Q: For readers who feel ready to begin and want to reach you, what should they expect before they arrive at the sanctuary?

Nick Eagle: The booking request page has a guide that answers most questions, and there is an activities and offerings page with many ways to customize a stay. I text each guest after the deposit comes in, and I offer one-on-one video chat sessions for extra preparation.

A space for real spiritual growth takes more than a beautiful location. It takes deliberate design and guidance that guests can trust. From this conversation, the Eagle Vortex Healing Sanctuary pairs the natural draw of Sedona with purpose-built surroundings meant to support personal healing, with each guest receiving close, undivided attention.

Interest in Sedona healing keeps growing, and so does the appeal of retreats that offer privacy and a direct link to nature. For Eagle, the work is less about scale and more about depth, and about giving each person the focus to face fear, find clarity, and leave with a stronger sense of themselves.
