Zygote is the Most Terrifying Alien Film I Have Seen in Years
This is one of the best alien films since John Carpenter's The Thing.

Zygote features the most terrifying alien design you will ever witness in your life. This design is utter nightmare fuel, this thing is made out of human corpses, creating a terrifying combination of an alien mixed with human parts. Only the top of the head resembles an alien lifeform, and it appears to be made out of only eyes, with the limbs of the humans holding up the head.
Only two survivors are left alive in the whole facility that this alien is lurking, and we learn that were 100 people on board, but something evil entered the facility, killing 98 people, and then this alien creature absorbed the entire group.
A young woman named Barklay and her captain, Quinn, are the only ones left. Quinn had no choice but to cut out his eyes, to avoid the alien taking control of him next. Barklay and Quinn come up with a plan to escape from the monster, to head over to another part of the facility where the monster can't reach them. Quinn informs Barklay that this alien is able to absorb intelligence whenever it takes another human body, and they devise a plan for this thing to not catch Barklay.
Quinn offers to give up his life to save Barklay, by cutting off one of his fingers for her to use for the fingerprint scanning to get through several areas of the facility. The alien absorbs Quinn's brain after it attempts to attack Barklay, and she is able to get away as she can hear her captain screaming in the distance.
She is now running on an injured leg, but she is able to make it to the entrance of one part of the facility that this alien cannot go through. She uses the captain's finger to get inside, but it won't take his fingerprint. Barklay goes into a panic, as the monster is getting closer. Barlay uses a waepon that the captain had given to her, and the alien goes down. She then retrieves an axe, and chops off one part of the alien, to use one of the human fingers to get through the entrance.
She desperately keeps on checking every finger, as the alien is slowly waking up. She is able to finally get through the door with one of the fingers, and she is able to run through the entrance. She watches in horror as the alien is slowly making its way toward the door, but it closes just in time, and the monster screams at her, not able to get through.
The short film ends with Barklay crying in shock, as she walks away from the door, the monster screaming in the distance, confirming that she is the last survivor of this horrific ordeal.
This was a genius alien movie. We barely got any information, but it was enough for the audience to know what was going on, and the explanation of the monster was horrific on so many levels. This alien also sounded like a crowd of people yelling, and I think it had to do with the fact that this thing was able to absorb 98 people.
I truly would love a feature length film to this story. There is so much potential here, and I would love to see how this alien monster came to be. It was like we started in the middle of John Carpenter's The Thing, and I was left wanting more. I felt major anxiety while watching the film, and I really thought that Barklay was not going to survive.
Zygote is one of the best alien films ever made, and we horror fans need a adaptation for movie theaters now!
