The Walking Dead is known for their fair share of villains, but I think one particular group stands out from the rest. Terminus was one of the main villains from the show, that truly stood out from the rest. Terminus was a huge group of people, that was supposed to be seen as a sanctuary.

That was the facade Terminus would go for, to bring their future victims to get slaughtered like animals and then eaten.

I remember my shock upon watching this episode. I assumed that the group was demented, but this was a whole other level.

We get tricked as the audience, including the characters, during the entire run of season 4, as Rick's group attempts to find each other again, after getting separated from one another when their home is destroyed by another major villain known as the Governor.

Rick's group find a lot of signs throughout their journey, consisting of messages that lead to a site called Terminus, where people will be kept safe. Rick's people all use these signs to head to this so-called refuge, and the first group that finds Terminus is Glenn's group.

Glenn, Maggie, and four other allies arrive to Terminus, and they are greeted by people that seem quite normal, as they come across a woman that is cooking meat.

We instantly realize that something is wrong once Rick and his own allies arrive. Rick, Daryl, Michonne, and Carl are all greeted by Terminus, and they all experience at moment of strangeness by the way they are being treated by Terminus, such as their leader, Gareth. Terminus is seen as a refuge, but they aren't exactly being treated with hospitality.

Then they are all captured by Terminus, being sent inside of a cargo load, keeping their human meat preserved. Then they would take Rick, Daryl, and Glenn, along with other random survivors to the 'death room.' The random survivors would get their throats slit, bleeding out into the huge container in front of them. Rick is able to speak with Gareth as a distraction to save Glenn and Daryl, until they hear a sudden explosion hitting Terminus.

Carol comes to the group's rescue, taking out almost the entire army of Terminus. Rick and his people obviously don't hold back on the rest of the army, disposing of all of them, and we even get a scene of Carol feeding a woman to the dead, as a punishment for what they had been doing to their own victims.

The group reunites with Carol, and all things seem fine and dandy, until one of their survivors runs into five members from Terminus that are still alive. Bob, who was dating Sasha at time, one of the main characters from the show, was selected by Gareth and his four other comrades to be partially eaten.

Bob then tells the group that they ate tainted meat, because he had hidden a zombie bite from Rick's people, and he was able to reveal this crazy twist to Gareth, causing the small group to instantly panic. Rick and his people are able to get the drop on them in the end, and Rick chops up Gareth with his machete, a disturbing promise he made to him when he was captured by this crazed lunatic.

Gareth 100% deserved his death.

Convincing people to come and believe they are going to be saved was so messed up...and what made Terminus even more scary, was the room that Carol found. They had kept who knows how many items from past victims in this specific room...hinting they killed all ages when it came to their victims.

I cheered when Gareth died, and yes, his death was brutal, but man, it felt great to see the bastard get a taste of his own medicine.
