Whispers of the Empty Hostel A Lone boy's Fear

Whispers in the Void: A Hostel Horror of Isolation and Paranoia

By Shreyansh GopalPublished 2 years ago • 1 min read

The hostel stood in haunting silence after the semester ended. Everyone had left, except for him-a boy battling depression and a growing addiction to weed. Trapped in his thoughts, he stayed behind, his isolation amplifying the stories told by his seniors. They had spoken of a suicide that took place in the corridor he now called home, and their words etched themselves into his fragile mind.

At night, the darkness seemed alive. Shadows danced across the walls, and faint whispers echoed through the empty halls. The light outside his window flickered unpredictably, casting an eerie glow over the corridor. Even the safety of his room was no sanctuary: the fear followed him, gripping his heart tighter with every passing moment.

To escape the terror, he turned to weed and drugs, hoping to find solace in their haze. But the temporary relief soon morphed into a nightmare. His paranoia grew stronger, the shadows more vivid, the voices louder. He spiraled deeper to his despair until one night, unable to bear unable to bear the weight of his reality, he ended his life..

When the students returned, they found his decayed body hanging from the ceiling. A suicide note described the horrors he had endured, but the hostel authorities dismissed it. They blamed his death on drug abuse, closing the case without a second thought.

Yet the chilling chilling twist remained-everything he experienced had begun after a few. harmless puffs to "chill after exams. The shadows, the whispers, the flickering light-were they real, or just a cruel trick of his mind?
