Werwulf Looks Like it Could Be One of the Best Werewolf Films of the Decade

Werwulf is another anticipated horror film that was directed by Robert Eggers, the same man who directed awesome other great horror films, like The Lighthouse, The Witch, and Nosferatu. Werwulf is the next film of his work that will be releasing on Christmas day, and it is now one of my most anticipated horror films of the year.

I think that Robert Eggers is going to start tackling all of the old school horror monsters, and I'm so excited to see this dark universe come to life. It's also so refreshing that he is going to use the same actors from his last popular vampire movie that also released on Christmas two years ago!

Werwulf looks like it's going to be following the old school storyline of how terrifying werewolves are supposed to be. After watching the trailer, this looks like it could be one of the darkest horror films ever made. Or it could possibly be the darkest werewolf film ever brought to the big screen. In this film, we will be following the story of a farmer, who appears to have received a horrid curse upon his soul.

From the small glimpse we got from the trailer, it appears that this farmer was cursed when he was just a child. A group of people found him, and they placed a curse on him, turning him into a monster. Years later, he now has a family, and it looks like they are struggling to make ends meet. His family, including other people in the village now have a disease that is plaguing the small town, and I believe that somehow the werewolf curse on the farmer is going to play a part in this disease.

I have a pretty messed up theory on what the film is going to be about.

Perhaps the farmer is going to hunt down the beast that is hunting down people from the village, but he has no idea that he is the actual monster. At some point, he will come to this awful conclusion that he is the werewolf, and he will beg his wife to save his soul, before he can hurt more people.

After the brutality of the last vampire film we got from Eggers, I wouldn't doubt that the farmer will end up murdering his entire family, leaving only his wife as the last survivor, and the film will end with her completely broken, as she is forced to put down her own husband.

I know how dark this ending sounds, but werewolf films in my opinion, should be dark as hell. I feel that super messed up horror like this needs to be very disturbing, because monsters in horror don't exactly always mean a happy ending. The fact that the farmer has a family is so messed up, and it also makes me wonder if somehow, he will spread this curse to all of his kids. I'm not sure if maybe he will be already transforming throughout his life, or when he moves to the village with his family, he will transform for the first time, because the curse will trigger at a particular moment in his life.

Whatever is in store for this film, I'm sure I won't be disappointed.

I really hope that Robert Eggers is going to tackle all of the old school monsters. He has already completed vampires and werewolves, why not tackle the rest of them?

I think what's left is the fish monster from the black lagoon, the mummy, and of course, Frankenstein. I believe this dude is going to be bring horror fans multiple masterpieces, and I can't wait!

Werwulf is going to be one of the best werewolf films ever made, I guarantee it!
