FADE IN: THE SCENE FADES IN TO A COVE OFF OF VATICAN CITY

CHAPTER 1: INTO

THE CRUSADER

Sirens are circling a frigate that has sailed into their lair...

CAPTAIN {NICK ROBINSON}

“Full sails! We need every gust of wind if we’ll hope to miss those rocks!”

The crew rush to the ropes and adjust the sails.

The Crusader’s hull grazes against the sharp rocks causing hull damage.

The Co-Captain {Ashley Madekwe: Script Pay: -$10,200} rushes below to assess the damage only to discover a mysterious creature grinning widely at her.

She goes to draw her sidearm only to be quickly overwhelmed by the creature.

The rest of the crew begin to hear humming from below.

They check below the railing only to find nothing; they scour the rest of the water surrounding the ship to no avail.

CAPTAIN (CON’D)

“Men! Kill anything that moves.”

The captain goes below deck to check on his second in command only to discover her floating in the quarter flooded cabin.

He only has a few moments to process before more humming is heard surrounding the ship.

The captain returns above to discover the source of the humming, but finds nothing.

After several minutes of her and the crew trying to repair the damage, The Crusader hits a stray gust of wind and is back sailing towards a cluster of jagged rocks...

[ONE WEEK EARLIER}

CHAPTER 2: CLOSE CALL

VATICAN CASTLE [COLLAPSED]

Ramona is lying in the dungeon of Vatican Castle. The castle debris surrounds her as she struggles to push one of the fallen blocks off of her leg.

She tries to shift into her Lycanthrope form but with the mid-day sun beaming through the Castle ceiling, she finds it difficult to heal.

She limps away from the dungeon using the castle wall to sustain herself.

Just as she reaches the throne room, she is met with her old nest leader greeting her.

GENEVIVE CARTER

“I’m glad you survived. After that spear move, I was slightly worried.”

RAMONA BLACKWOOD

“Leaving me to die wasn’t good enough?”

GENEVIVE

“We all were overwhelmed. You have to understand.”

Ramona continues to limp, making her way towards the destroyed entrance.

GENEVIVE (CON’D)

“Wait! I have something for you.” Ramona turns before she enters the sunlight.

RAMONA

“Why would I want anything from you?”

GENEVIVE

“The reason it took so long for me to return to the castle was because I was forced to retreat to evolve. However, I discovered a new ability.”

KORA REVEALS HERSELF HIDDEN BEHIND THE DAMAGED COLUMN

RAMONA

“Kora? I watched you die.”

KORA CALDWELL (WEAKLY)

“Never underestimate our sire’s power.”

RAMONA

“She didn’t sire me.”

Kora begins to shift into Genevieve’s newest creation, donning her torn wings and dulled talons.

GENEVIVE

“The blood connection between vampires and sirens is quite similar. I simply wanted to test my theory. Though my power is somewhat... limited...”

Kora’s transformation is short lived as her wings begin to tear and her claws start to retract.

GENEVIVE (CON’D)

“Resurrection is a tricky thing...”

She slashes her wrist and advances towards Ramona.

RAMONA

“Why would I drink from you?”

KORA

“She’s a Hybrid. More siren than anything now, her abilities are unlike any. You must drink.”

Ramona pauses and continues as she grips her new master’s wrist and drinks deeply.

It only takes a few moments before her leg mends and her Siren-Lycan Form reveals itself

She is slightly larger and her claws are sharper, she lets out a roar and Genevieve and Kora crack a smile; their nest somewhat restored...

Kora shifts into her Siren-Empress Form and her wings mend somewhat

[FIVE DAYS LATER]

THE CRUSADER [DAMAGED]

Being jolted from the rocks, the captain is thrown overboard, he is then surrounded by several sirens swarming him

SIREN #1 {EMMA ROBERTS}

“Perfect I’m starving.”

SIREN #2 {ALEXANDRA DADDARIO}

“Wait. This one could be our newest addition...”

SIREN #3 {EMMY ROSSUM}

“But I’m starving.”

The last siren kisses her hand and blows at the captain causing him to be swept by the tide into their lair

CAPTAIN (DAZED)

“Where am I? How did I get here?”

He is short to question his placement as he is surrounded by the three sirens.

They bite and toy with the captain before completing his transformation, adding him to their ranks...

[PRESENT DAY]

THE CRUSADER [DAMAGED]

The Shadow’s vessel nears Vatican City as it sustains heavy hull damage.

JASON AND BRIAN BOARD THE DAMAGED SHIP

CAPTAIN

“I’m glad you two could finally make it. We were expecting reinforcements a while ago.”

BRIAN

“Sorry it took so long. We had some... other things to clear up...”

He cleans the blood off his newest blade; a mercury-coated dagger (a gift from Jason).

JASON

“I’m surprised you guys made it to Vatican City at all. Your ship looks like you drove it straight into the cliff.”

The Captain mechanically turns to Jason and smirks.

CAPTAIN

“You’re welcome to try and sail it yourself.”

Jason is silent as Brian recognizes one of the crew.

BRIAN

“Leon?”

One of the crew drops his cargo and rushes to Brian.

LEON BLACKWOOD {NICK ROBINSON}

“Brian?! It’s been ages. How’s that shoulder?”

The two reminisce and discuss hunting tactics as Jason continues to investigate the damage.

CAPTAIN

“We were ambushed by a siren nest. We lost several crew as well as my second in command.”

JASON

“Where?”

CAPTAIN

“We were nearing Vatican Cove before we hit a gust of wind that forced us further towards the Cove instead of the City. Shortly after, there was a storm and as you can see for yourself... we barely made it out.”

JASON

“Well I’m sure everyone is glad that it was you behind the wheel. Otherwise we might not be having this conversation.”

The Captain chuckles but their discussion is short lived as the captain’s appetite starts to get the better of him.

CAPTAIN

“I could really use a drink...”

JASON

“The Grim Pub is just a few miles from here. Come, we can arrange to have your ship fixed while we have a drink or two.”

LEON, BRIAN, AND JASON HEAD TOWARDS THE GRIM PUB

[PRESENT DAY]

CHAPTER 3: RESTORED AT LAST

VATICAN CASTLE [DESTROYED THRONE ROOM]

RAMONA, GENEVIVE, AND KORA ARE GATHERED STRAGEGIZING

KORA

“If we hope to restore our ranks to their former glory, we need to rebuild.”

GENEVIVE

“I wouldn’t worry too much about that...”

ELIAS FLIES IN CLUTCHING A CRATE OF BUILDING MATERIALS IN HIS TALONS

ELIAS

“As you requested, Master.”

He shifts into his mortal form as Kora’s three fledging start to use the materials to rebuild the damaged fortress.

GENEVIVE

“Now... about those wings...”

Genevieve advances towards Elias with a silver knife.

He gives her his arm as she cuts deep into his wrist and mixes his blood into a bowl combined with the Kora’s and her own.

GENEVIVE (CON’D)

“Drink.”

Kora takes the bowl first and takes a few sips, Ramona follows, then Elias; completing their sire’s binding ritual.

Elias is the first to feel the spells effects as his wings begin to shift between human and siren.

Kora is next as her talons elongate and sharpen while her torn wings mend.

Finally, Ramona’s Hybrid-Form completes its final stage as virtually all her hair is replaced with scales, and her appearance now looks almost identical to Elias’s.

As the spell is completed, the last of the fledglings finish completing the first section of Vatican Castle’s Restoration.

GENEVIVE(CON’D)

“I warn you. Do not give your lives so easily to any who challenge. If one of you is slain, I fear it will weaken the others.”

RAMONA

“First you leave me to rot and now you bind me to you.”

GENEVIVE

“You are bound to Kora. As I said, the blood connection between vampire and siren is similar, but in order to prevent your cells from attacking themselves, I had to bind you to a vampire host. Your strengths should be virtually equal.”

Ramona uses her arm to pin her nest leader against the wall quickly to feel the change as her emotions shift.

Elias is the first to respond as he shifts into his Harpy form and grabs Ramona by the back of her neck and propels her across the room, fortunately missing any nearby columns.

Kora’s fledgings drop their materials and swoosh to respond.

GENEVIVE (QUIETLY)

“Don’t intervene. Testing a Hybrid’s strength against my original sire is something that I’m quite interested in seeing.”

KORA

“You heard her. Stand down.”

Kora’s fledglings bow to their empress as they resume their fortresses restoration.

Elias and Ramona are sparring against one another in their newly-evolved strength.

Ramona blocks one of Elias’s swings and she rolls him over on his back and shifts into her mortal form; she then pulls out one of her mercury coated daggers and poises it underneath the pit of his shoulder.

RAMONA

“Careful. One slice and you’ll bleed out in seconds.”

Elias creates a strong gust by flapping his wings to send Ramona flying towards the ceiling, her blade clatters near Kora’s feet.

While she is in free-fall, he screeches and sends her flying across the room. He then shifts into his mortal form and retrieves her blade.

Ramona shifts into her Hybrid smooth-scaly form and charges at the mortal Elias.

He slashes her back and drives her dagger shallowly into her side, causing her to revert back into her mortal form.

She backhands him and pulls out her dagger and turns it against Elias.

He flies at her in his Siren Form and when he reaches her, he pins her on the ground and reverts to his human form.

She uses a knee elbow combination mixed with her inhuman strength to send Elias on his back.

Ramona takes her blade, still soaked with her blood, and poises it at Elias’s throat.

GENEVIVE [SLOW CLAPPING]

“Well done. I’m impressed. Ramona, sire three Lycans and Elias five siren- hybrids. Those numbers should swell our ranks enough to defend or attack.”

Ramona climbs off of the downed siren and advances, blade in hand, towards Genevieve.

RAMONA

“Why should I listen to you.”

She quickly charges The Nest Leader as Genevieve blocks each strike.

Genevieve waits for Ramona’s ill-tempered rage to exhaust herself, then uses her superior strength to send Ramona to her feet.

While lying on her back, Ramona reaches for her blade, and Genevieve shifts into her hybrid-form: now almost identical to Elias save for a few mutated upgrades.

The leader uses her talons to pin Ramona’s arm and throat.

GENEVIVE

“We were never enemies. The quicker you come to terms with that, the easier this will be.”

She releases her hold on Ramona and helps her off her feet. Ramona sheathes her blade and submits to Genevieve.

[TWO DAY LATER]

VATICAN CITY OUTSKIRTS

CHAPTER 4: THERE ARE MORE OF YOU?

BRIAN, JASON, AND LEON EXPLORE THE OUTSKIRTS OF VATICAN CITY LOOKING FOR HUNTING OPPURTUNITIES

LEON

“It’s been forever. Are you sure you’re still able to fight?”

BRIAN

“Are you questioning my strength?”

Brian sends Leon to the ground, tripping him.

JASON

“Wow. You guys really do go way back.”

LEON

“Meaning?”

He picks himself back up and brushes off the dirt from his garments.

JASON

“When Brian and I first encountered he was almost devoured by a vamp.”

BRIAN

“Not true! I totally had him.”

The group’s idle conversation is short lived as they discover Ramona’s cloak drenched in blood and liquid mercury hanging on a nearby tree.

JASON

“I recognize this. It’s Ramona’s”

BRIAN

“She really must have pissed a lot of vampires off...”

LEON

“Why’s that?”

Brian reveals the liquid mercury oozing from its fibers.

JASON

“Long story short, she’s another hunter. We’ve hunted a few times together. I really didn’t think anyone would be able to take her down. This is strange though, the only faction that is known to carry these advanced rounds are The Shadow.”

BRIAN

“Well they certainly weren’t alone. The tracks indicate there must have been at least four vampires.”

LEON

“Not to sound like a dick or anything... but I can take at least three vampires.”

Leon hides his uneasiness by gripping his silver blade tightly.

KORA AND HER FLEDGLINGS REVEAL THEMSELVES

KORA [TAUNTINGLY]

“That so?”

She rushes at their newest recruit sending him flying across the grove.

Brian quickly counters but is no match for the newly evolved empress’s strength.

Her fledgings keep the rest of the hunters at bay as she continues to toy with her prey...
