So It's almost mid-October, and we all know what that means. Halloween. I am that person that loves Halloween, the candy, the scary movies, the costumes. Everything about it is so fascinating.

What you're about to see are the top 5 haunted places In Canada, and if you live nearby, then be sure to check them out, if you're not too afraid...

Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, Alberta

Built in 1888

The Fairmont Banff Springs hotel is known for having the most breathtaking views of the mountains in Banff National park. But what some people don't know is that it's a perfect place to look for ghosts. People have said that they sometimes see a bride walking up and down the marble staircase at night. People say that the rooms they stay in have so much noise being made, and they can never figure out where it is coming from. Anyways, it is such a famous hotel because Queen Elizabeth II, Marilyn Monroe, and Helen Keller have visited there, but some guests that came to stay, never ended up leaving. Here's why:

A man, his wife, and their daughter were staying in room 873, that man ended up killing both his wife and their daughter that same night, and killed himself in that room. Guests who have stayed in that room have said they heard, and were terrorized by screams and shrieks in the middle of the night. The maids that would have to clean the room after guests left would not be able to finish, because they would run out, scared and 'would not be able to clean the bloody fingerprints off the mirrors. Now, if you are thinking of going to check it out, your out of luck. Because of all the paranormal/freaky things people have experienced the room has been bricked up and now, you probably won't be able to notice where it was.

Blue Ghost Tunnel, Ontario

Also known as the Meritton Tunnel

This tunnel in St. Catharines, Ontario was abandoned over 100 years ago. Many paranormal investigators and curious people have come here to see if it really is haunted. Many people believe that the tragic history has to do a lot with why it is deemed to be haunted these days. It was constructed in the 1870s as part of the Welland Canal Project. The tunnel was built nearby a church and cemetery, when the time came to clear out the cemetery to make way for pondage area near the tunnel, only the graves of those whose relatives were able to come forward to put in a request. Because of limited communication at the time, only 300 of 917 of the bodies were claimed. Those bodies that weren't claimed were left to the waters when the area was flooded. To this day, those bodies remain in the pond near the tunnel. There were a lot of deaths during the construction of the tunnel but the biggest accident took place on January 3rd, 1903. An 80-ton eastbound train and a westbound express train, collided head-on right outside the blue ghost tunnel, killing both firemen of each train. The tunnel was closed completely in 1915. People who have visited this tunnel, report to be seeing blue mist in the air, being pushed aggressively, hearing music and voices, and describe feeling very uneasy.

The tunnel was sealed up with cinder blocks, but if you go there today, then you can see holes that have been broken through by explorers and investigators.

Mckay Avenue School, Edmonton.

Built between 1904-1905

This school is an early twentieth-century, three story building, located in downtown, Edmonton. People who have been there, have said that they have seen objects mysteriously moving, right in front of their eyes, water taps found running without anyone being in the washrooms, and lights being turned off and on. Hearing noises around the building is actually very common. But it doesn't stop there. Over the years, staff have actually seen chairs knocked over and actually THROWN around rooms. Sometimes, while staying in a room, someone said that they would put the blinds down and something would just, pull them right back up, she said she would continuously try and put them up and eventually the blinds were ripped, and even pulled off the window.

The school is said to be haunted by a worker who tragically fell to his death, from the rooftop in 1912. Psychics have actually gone to see the school, and have said that they have seen children running up and down the fire escapes on the outside of the building.

Paranormal investigators started their own event where they would go do a paranormal investigation with anyone. To this day they do it and it costs $70. Would you be willing to?

Now I have only listed the top three that I heard about but, don't worry there is more where these stories came from :)
