The real-life crime reporter Ellison Oswald (Ethan Hawke) has relocated his family back to a home where a tragic assassination took place in an effort to recapture the experience of his previous book.
But, instead of being inspired, Ellison uncovers a package of bizarre home films on the shelf which look like indiscriminate nightmares - ones that may endanger his whole family.
8) Heritable
A mysterious mystery surrounds the age at which Ellen, the Graham family's grandma, committed suicide, and her child's family began to fall apart. The more you learn, the harder you work to overcome your apparent terrible destiny.
Drawing from his work as a writer for the screen, Ari Aster depicts a nightmare vision of a failed home with the skill and accuracy of a beginning writer. He also transforms a dreadful and really upsetting family tragedy into a new cold with his disconcerting portrayal of the legacy.
