This Year's Most Offensive Halloween Costumes Are Tasteless AF

We really don't know what people were thinking when they decided to choose these Halloween costumes as appropriate party wear.

Cultural appropriation: not a good look.

Everyone has someone in their family or community that is the epitome of poor taste. This would be the person who would make wearing socks with sandals look elegant. They're offensive, tasteless, and makes us all cringe at the worst possible times.

Halloween is the time when all the most tasteless, politically incorrect people you can find will end up donning a new costume that ends up getting them uninvited from every party on the block.

Make no mistake about it; if you're wearing one of the most offensive Halloween costumes out there, you shouldn't be shocked when you find yourself excluded from party invites. These costumes below should never, ever be worn — regardless of what kind of Halloween party you're attending.

KKK Costumes

I don't even get why anyone would think that this is a good idea. It's one of the most offensive Halloween costumes you could possibly think of, and it also could get you arrested. Klansmen are considered to be White supremacist and domestic terrorist groups in most states.

Potential arrest aside, you have to ask yourself how you can possibly explain why you would think it's ever OK to make light of groups that murdered minorities. How would your non-White friends see you if they knew you wore that costume.

Make no mistake about it — if you wear this garbage, expect to be treated like garbage.

Rihanna and Chris Brown Costumes

You know what's funny? Making fun of the cast of Jersey Shore. You know what's NOT funny? Domestic violence. One of the most disgustingly offensive Halloween costumes we've heard of is a couples' costume featuring a smiling Chris Brown mask with a battered Rihanna in tow.

If you've ever seen someone get battered, you'd understand why this costume is a major no-go. Anything that makes light of domestic violence is subtly saying it's OK — and this is never OK.

Homeless People

This is one offensive outfit that may end up with you sleeping on the couch — if your date finds out you had the gall to wear such a thing.

Homelessness is no joke, and anyone who's experienced it can tell you that. Wearing this shows how little empathy you have, and that's a total buzzkill.

A Tampon

We're sure he's having a bloody good time, but OMG, how tasteless is this? Admittedly, it's not one of the most offensive Halloween costumes on this list considering that it's about a natural body function, but it's still gross AF.

We're not gonna pad the truth here... this made us gag a bit.

Trayvon Martin

I'm not sure what's the worst aspect of this Halloween costume — the blackface, the fact that he's poking fun at a murder victim, or the fact that he seems to think this is all OK. Regardless, this is one of the most offensive Halloween costumes I've ever seen on the net.

Just looking at this makes me angry. Please excuse me while I have a rage stroke.

Cecil the Lion's Killer

Ugh. Just... ugh.

Suicide Bomber

Judging by the look on the kid's face, it's clear that he seems to agree that this is one of the most offensive Halloween costumes Mommy and Daddy could have shoved him into. We wouldn't blame him if he felt like blowing himself up for the embarrassment his parents put him through.

Anne Frank

Undoubtedly one of the most offensive Halloween costumes to ever hit stores, this Anne Frank costume was pulled off store shelves due to the sheer insensitivity it showed to victims of the Holocaust. We want to know why this was even designed in the first place.

James Holmes

Because nothing says "tasteful" like pretending to be a batshit insane person who shot and killed dozens of people who just wanted to see a Batman movie...

Caitlyn Jenner

Speaking as a non-binary person, this is really not OK. Transfolk have to deal with all sorts of discrimination every day. The last thing they need to feel is the hurt of seeing people making fun of their struggles during Halloween.

Whatever This Is

Anyone who says rape culture isn't real clearly hasn't noticed all the costumes that involve assault on women, sexual or otherwise. The fact that people think this is funny should make you angry and worry you.

Sexy Donald Trump

Ugh. Though this costume is truly terrifying, can't we just leave politics out of Halloween? Please?

Hillary Clinton

...I guess that's a no.

You'd think people would be over the politics, considering how divided our country is, right? But, no, apparently there are some people who just really, truly want to involve presidential politics in everything.

The Twin Towers

As bad as the Trump and Hillary costumes are, they aren't even close when it comes to the levels of offense that this doozy is. This is the kind of costume that will get you kicked out of parties and have you lose friends over. Two thousand people died in this attack. Don't make light of that!

Ana-Rexia

Because nothing says "hilarious" like dressing up as a mental illness that ends up killing one out of every five sufferers...

Think Before You Dress This Year

Halloween is supposed to be a time when everyone gets to have fun dressing up, but you need to remember the message you're sending with the costumes you wear. With cultures, appreciate but don't appropriate. And use common sense. Certain topics are just not really acceptable to poke fun at, no matter what the circumstances are.

As far as Mr. Jenner is concerned, your comment “The last thing they need to feel is the hurt of seeing people making fun of their struggles during Halloween.” Is complete nonsense. He made his “struggles” so public he practically threw them in your face. Mr. Jenner is fair game.

Let me guess, you are a woke lesbian as well. Maybe I’ll dress up for Halloween as you. An overly sensitive woke lesbian with a stick up her ass.

Emily, you really need to keep your woke bs to yourself and get off your high horse. I’ll dress up as a black face Michael Brown with bullet holes and blood because the felon deserved to die. Furthermore, I was homeless for over a year, and a homeless costume doesn’t bother me at all. Quit being an overly sensitive baby and stop telling other people what to do. If you’re offended by a Queen Elizabeth costume, then maybe you are the one with the problem. I might even go as a trans blackface Jeffrey Dahmer. By the way, your writing sucks.

I chuckled at quite a few of these because they are so outrageously, over-the-top offensive. I am from a time where you just shake your head and walk away, but in today's world I think you would be putting yourself in danger of physical harm just wearing a lot of these in public.
