Unusual? Probably. But there are many who believe that the world of Horror is the best Fandom out there. I am one of those people. It's not about being sucked into this fantasy world and wishing you were living in it at that very moment. Although it is such a fascination to become consumed by what is happening when you view these sort of movies. Sometimes you go for the killer and sometimes you go for the main characters. If you're a hardcore fan it can definitely go either way. Because some of the killers we just don't want to die. I mean, Jason and Michael Meyers seem to live forever. And Chucky, I don't think he'll ever actually die either. This is what consumes us. This is the favorite fandom because you get to believe in the fascination of living eternally. Yes, many fantasy worlds that include vampires, witches and fairies also bring that ideal image into your mind of living forever. Bu there is something intriguing about the serial killers, masked monsters, possessed dolls and paranormal beings that are brought into the world of Horror and the thought that some of these things and beings might actually exist.

There's also the oddly satisfying thrill of get a slight scare out of not knowing what is going to happen and the music building up for that jump scare. What is great about the Horror Fandom is that there is not only one type. Me personally, I like all kinds. But you have a great selection including comedic horror, gore, those that are completely full of jump scares, paranormal, supernatural, slasher films. Like many of the other genres of Fandom you also get to experience so many great things such as dressing up as your favorite characters, Halloween, Horror Con. And if it has a "Con" it must be a great Fandom to have so many involved in the world of it. Meeting your favorite character even if it's not the real actor who plays them is almost as exciting as meeting the actual actor/actress themselves. And authors and creators are a great part of this Horror Fandom as well. We all have our favorites from the ultimate horror writer, Stephen King to Dan Mancini. And we definitely love those Voice Actors including Jennifer Tilley playing the voice of Tiffany and Brad Dourif playing the voice of Chucky to the wonderous voices of the warped mind of Tim Burton and Danny Elfman voicing Jack Skellington. Or the 80’s Cult Classic movies like Puppet Master, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, The Lost Boys, Gremlins, Chucky and so many more. These will always be favorites to most horror fans and we love seeing when these are brought into today’s world. Since it’s closer to Halloween many retailers will bring back items with these portrayed on them. It definitely provides some nostalgia for the horror fans of every kind. It's hard to choose a favorite. This is surely one Fandom that is never going to go away or die down. While we are hesitant of remakes, although some are pretty good we thrive on seeing that next horror movie that can hopefully scare us the most. Yes, it’s a rush and an addiction. Even if we all don’t agree on the best type of horror we do agree that horror is the best fan favorite out there. It brings us together in so many ways from the “Cons” to the Facebook or other Social Media groups with all things related. I think the fact there is so many different versions and variety in this world makes it the best Fandom out there.
