The “twins”

There were two girls. They were know as the twins. One was named Amy, another one was named Anne. They were seen always together. Coming to school, at the lockers getting books, having lunch, studying in the library, leaving the school, etc. they were seen together all the time.

But Anne would never talk to anyone. She wouldn’t even talk to Amy or any of her classmates. All she did was just follow Amy, and do what Amy does. And Amy didn’t seem to mind that at all.

They went to a school which was far far away from the city. The name of the school was Mount HighLand Academy. It was in the mountains with a pleasant view seen everywhere where the eyes went. Since it was very far away from the city, the school had dorms for all their students. The students lived in the dorms and on holidays they would visit their family in the city. Their dorms were extravagant, beautiful, spacious. They students would get their own dorm room without in need of sharing with another students, but they can choose if they wanted a roommate or not. Amy and Anne shared a dorm room.

One day in class, the teachers announced a camping trip that will be held soon. And they were counting the students so that they can arrange the exact amount of supplies needed for each student since it was only for the students of their grade. The teacher of Amy and Anne’s class was a bit tired today, so she asked Molly, a friend of Amy to count the students of their class.

Ms. Jesica: Molly, could you please count the number of students in this class?

Molly: Sure! 1, 2, 3, 4………. 16. Ma’am, there are 16 students.

Then Amy whispered to Molly,

Amy: 16? But there are only 15 students. Is there a student who is always absent? She laughed.

Molly: No, there are 16 students in this class.

Amy: Since when?

Molly: Since you started attending this school!

Amy: Wait-

Amy was interrupted by Ms. Jesica.

Ms. Jesica: Molly there are 21 students right? Thank you for your help.

Few days later, the date of their camping trip came. They were all excited and enthusiastic. All of them set for the camping trip along with the teachers. The camping grounds were not too far away from the Academy neither too close.

After arriving, each class selected a spot to build their camps. There were three classes, Class A, Class B, and Class C each of these classes decided to built their camps not too far from eachother, so if any danger comes they will be able to help each other.

At night, all the students sat by the camp fire and each started to share some stories of their life, whether is was sad or happy. Anne like usual just sat by Amy not talking or anything. Everyone was just enjoying themselves. And soon they started taking about horror stories. And one thing led to another, they started talking about the ghost of their school.

Amy: “Molly, who is this ghost of our school? Since when was there a ghost?”

Molly: “Oh you don’t know since your new here. Some others students also don’t know, then I’ll just narrate the story in front of everyone.

A long long time ago, when the school was newly established, it was not very popular, to be precise no one even knew this school at that time, only a few did. And they were the first students in this school.

There was only a handful of them. And gradually after a few months the number of students increased, but still there was not too many at all. A girl named Winnie was one of the first students of this school. She was nice, kind, and smart. She could get along with anyone easily. So she had a lot of friends. Some students started becoming jealous of her.

One day a student pretended to be Winnie and went to everyone in school and said about things about them. Everyone started disliking Winnie. One day she suddenly disappeared. Now rumours say, she often disguises as someone and roams around the school.

But when she is not disguised she looks like a tall figure with hair everywhere around her body, with white soulless eyes and teeth with a grinning smile and horns on top of it head. It’s still unclear what is her motive in all this. It’s also still unclear of what happened to her that made her look like this That’s all.”

Amy: “That’s all?! Why did she suddenly disappeared? And why did she turn out to look like that?!”

Molly: “No one knows, it’s from a long time ago, I doubt that this is even real.”

Amy: “ I hope not.”

Molly: “It’s late at night now, let’s go to sleep. Oh and Amy are u sure you both can fit into that single tent?”

Amy: “Both? What do you mean both?”

Teacher: “Come on guys, stop chitchatting, go to sleep now you have to wake up early in the morning.” Amy was interrupted by the teachers.

They all went to sleep. The next day in the early morning they all woke up, and started doing works around the camp. Collecting wood, hunting for food, cleaning around the camp site etc. suddenly there was a loud roaring sound which scared everyone around the camp site.

After a while, they decided to go in groups and search around the place.

Molly: “Amy, we three should go and search over there!”

Amy: “Three?-”

Molly: “Let’s go! Who knows what that sound was!”

Every one started looking in groups of 3 to 4 people. After some time some students found out that, it was a bear who fell into a bear trap but ran off as soon as it saw the students.

A few days went by, their trip has ended. They are all back to the academy going to classes like the usual. Molly and Amy made new friends from the camp and now they are like this one giant friend group. They would hang out all the time, have fun and had study sessions together.

One day, at almost midnight, Amy received a phone call from Molly,

Molly: “ Amy! Sorry to wake you up at this hour, but do you remember the story of Winnie?”

Amy: “Yeah..”

Molly: “So I found this game or something that can communicate with spirits. And I’m curious that is Winnie even real, if so what happened to her? I invited the others over as well so come quickly!

Amy: “Alright, are you sure this is safe?”

Molly: “Yeah totally!”

Amy without making too much sound went to Molly’s room. It was late at Night, so it was dark all around the school it took some time for Amy to make her way to Molly’s room due to the darkness but she arrived safely. Upon entering the room, she saw everyone was already waiting for to come.

But something was a bit wrong. It was like they wanted to ask something, but it seemed like they all had the same question.

Molly: “Anne didn’t come with you this time?”

Amy: “Anne? Who’s Anne?”

Molly: “Uhh, your twin, your sister?”

Amy: “I don’t even have a sister, how will I have a twin. Are you guys out of your minds?”

Suddenly everyone froze in their places, unable to even utter even a single word, scared to the bone.

In the last few minutes what Amy said made them scared for their lives.
