This is one of my favorite Tales from the Crypt episodes.

Don't let the image above fool you. Yes, this episode does focus on a young woman posing for a photoshoot, but the start of this episode is one of strongest introductions to a Tales from the Crypt episodes. A man named Delvin is trying to save a woman he has fallen in love with. Another man named Mitch appears to Delvin in the dark, confronting him. He kills Delvin and buries him outside of a cabin.

Then we cut back to why Mitch chose to murder this man, and we are introduced to a beautiful young woman posing for a photoshoot. Her name is Stacy, and she is posing for Delvin, who is her photographer. Things appear to be going well for a moment, until her talent manager, Mitch, starts to make things very awkward. He instantly comes off as a jealous piece of crap, getting angry at Delvin for doing his job. Delvin does brush off this awful encounter, and he instead comforts Stacy, who looks both embarrassed and upset over her fiancé acting like that.

Delvin offers to have Stacy come over to his place, in case she needs to escape from her terrible situation at home. Later on that night, Stacy does come over to Delvin's place. He learns that Mitch is also abusing Stacy, and his comfort leads the two of them to share a romantic kiss, hinting that this chemistry between them has probably been going on for a long time. Delvin gives Stacy a necklace, a special gift for the woman he loves. They continue their night of passion, but they are unfortunately caught by a jealous Mitch, who is watching them from the window.

Delvin is then lured through a voice mail by Mitch to head over to the cabin, claiming that Stacy is not alright, and he doesn't hesitate to head over to the cabin, where he would meet his horrible fate. We are then shown again what happened to Delvin, and after Mitch gets rid of him, he heads back to Stacy.

She is still wearing the necklace that Delvin gave her, as Mitch attempts to manipulates her. He admits that he knows that Stacy and Delvin have a thing for each other. He tells Stacy that she can leave if she wants, but he promises to stay by her side, if she does make the choice to be with Mitch.

Stacy doesn't believe that Delvin would just cut her off, and she sneaks into his apartment, discovering odd clues that don't make sense. Delvin never emptied out the groceries he had bought, and she finds a huge piece of evidence that seals the deal. The voice message that Mitch had left for Delvin is played to her, but she is suddenly captured by Mitch and dragged to the cabin where he had killed Delvin.

Mitch ties her to the bed, and then proceeds to hint that he is going to subject Stacy to torture, as he confesses about Delvin's murder. At that moment, Delvin rises from the grave, now a rotting zombie. Mitch and Stacy hear Delvin outside, and Mitch grabs his gun to confront whoever is out there. He runs into a dead Delvin, and he tries to fight back, but Delvin isn't exactly easy to kill anymore. He drags Mitch back to his grave, he slices off Mitch's fingers and then proceeds to bury him alive in his own grave, as he screams in terror.

Stacy escapes from the cabin, and holds onto the necklace that Delvin gave her, as she listens to Mitch screaming in the night.

I find it so impressive that this episode was only twenty-two minutes, and they were able to fit in so much in this one story. It was also awesome how great the acting was from these actors; you could tell they really put everything in their performances, making the bad situation so much more believable.

I would have loved a feature length film to this episode, I'm sure it would have been a great film, because the concept to this one was so good!

I do love it when a dude comes back from dead to save his girl from a monster. And man, that was one brutal fate, but it was 100% well deserved.
