"The Stranger at Midnight"

"A mysterious midnight visitor changes everything."

In a small, quiet village where people slept early, Samer was awakened by a soft tapping on his window at midnight sharp. His heart pounded as he opened his eyes to see a tall, shadowy figure in a long coat standing outside, motionless.

Samer hesitated before rising from his bed. Who was this man? And why was he knocking on the window instead of the door? He cautiously approached and peered through the glass.

The stranger’s face was pale, and his eyes glowed faintly under the moonlight.

"Who are you?" Samer asked in a hushed voice, but the man didn’t answer. Instead, he slowly raised his hand and pointed toward the front door.

A strange pull in Samer’s chest urged him to obey, despite the growing fear in his heart.

When he opened the door, the stranger handed him an old, weathered envelope. Then, without a word, he turned and walked away, disappearing into the darkness.

Samer stared at the envelope. His name was written on it in handwriting that looked eerily familiar. His hands trembled as he opened it, revealing a short message inside:

"Samer, the time has come. Do not repeat my mistake. Follow the sign by the old tree before it's too late."

There was no signature. But the handwriting… it looked exactly like his father’s, who had passed away years ago.

Samer couldn’t sleep after the incident. At dawn, he made his way to the old tree at the edge of the village, where he had often played with his father as a child.

There, he noticed a small stone with a strange engraving on it.

Curious, he moved the stone aside and found a wooden box buried beneath it. His hands trembled as he opened it, revealing an old journal, a few gold coins, and a ring engraved with his father’s initials.

His mind raced. Had his father hidden this all along? And why had this mysterious visitor led him here?

As Samer walked back home, his mind was flooded with questions.

Was the stranger just a man delivering a message from the past, or was there something supernatural about that night?

One thing was certain:

"Some secrets don’t stay buried forever."
