The Scream

Scene One – The House That Was Always Empty

Laiba and her family had just moved into a very old house in the interior of Punjab. It looked more like a mansion, and they got it at a surprisingly low price.

But everyone warned them:

“That house... it’s not empty.”

Her mother had laughed. “Ghosts aren’t real,” she said.

But that very night, they heard the first scream...

Scene Two – The First Scream

At exactly 2:00 a.m., Laiba woke up. She heard a woman screaming in pain coming from the hallway.

When she turned on the light, everything seemed fine. But on the floor, there were wet footprints — leading directly to her room.

The next morning, everything was gone. Her mother said, “It was just a dream.”

But Laiba knew — it wasn’t.

Scene Three – The Secret in the Diary

Laiba found an old, dusty diary in the storage room. On its cover, one word was written:

"Forgive."

It belonged to a woman named Zeenat. Every page was filled with desperate cries:

"Forgive me."

"They burned me."

"Where are my children?"

And on the last page:

“Whoever reads this... your soul will scream too.”

Scene Four – The Woman in the Shadows

Laiba started seeing glimpses of a burned woman around the house — especially in mirrors or dark corners.

Sometimes while washing dishes, she would hear:

“Give me back my child…”

When she told her mother, she got scolded. But that very night, the entire family heard the scream.

Even her mother was terrified now.

Scene Five – The Fire Below

Behind the house was an old dried-up well. But every night, instead of water sounds, they heard the crackling of fire.

Laiba asked an elder of the village. What he said chilled her:

“Zeenat was accused of witchcraft. The men in that house burned her alive. But the truth is... they killed her for property. And cursed that house forever.”

Now Zeenat’s spirit roamed the halls… searching for her children.

Final Scene – The Revenge of the Scream

Laiba decided to free Zeenat’s spirit. She burned the diary and threw the ashes into the well.

But at that very moment, Zeenat appeared — her face burned, her eyes filled with tears.

“You took everything from me…

Now I will take everything from you.”

Laiba screamed — a scream unlike anything she had ever known.

Morning – Silence

The next morning, the house was silent.

Laiba. Her mother. Her little brother.

All gone.

People say there was a scream that night — one so loud, it made birds fly away at 2:00 a.m.

Alternate Ending – The Truth of Their Death

Laiba’s mother was found in her room, hung — but the marks showed she didn’t do it herself.

The doors were locked. Phones dead. All windows sealed.

Laiba followed the voice of her brother, crying “Save me…”

But when she opened the door, there was only a charred body. And Zeenat — holding fire in her hands.

“Until every soul in this house burns, my scream will not stop.”

She threw fire at Laiba — and the last sound was a scream that shook the sky.

Today – A New Tenant

The house is empty again.

But every new tenant hears a scream at exactly 2:00 a.m.

And always finds a diary with one line:

“You’re next.”
