Emma and her friends, Sarah, Rachel, and Matt, sat huddled around a small table in Sarah's basement. They had all gathered to play with the Ouija board that Sarah had found in her grandmother's attic. Emma was hesitant to join in, but the excitement of the others was contagious.

They placed their fingers on the planchette and began to ask questions. At first, nothing happened, and they laughed nervously. But then, the planchette began to move on its own. It spelled out the name of a spirit, and the group grew more and more curious.

They continued to ask questions, but the answers they received grew darker and more ominous. The spirit claimed to be a vengeful ghost seeking revenge for a past wrongdoing. Emma felt a chill run down her spine as she watched the planchette move across the board.

Suddenly, the room grew cold, and the lights flickered. The group panicked and tried to remove their fingers from the board, but they wouldn't budge. The planchette continued to move on its own, and the spirit's answers became more threatening.

Emma felt a sharp pain in her chest and realized that the spirit was attacking her. She screamed for the others to stop, but they were too afraid to move. The room filled with an eerie silence as the planchette stopped moving, and the lights went out completely.

Emma felt a hand grip her arm tightly, and she screamed in terror. The lights flickered back on, and she saw Sarah's terrified face staring back at her. The group had managed to break free from the Ouija board's grip, and they huddled together in fear.

Suddenly, they heard a strange noise coming from upstairs. They cautiously made their way up the stairs, only to find the front door wide open. Emma's heart raced as she realized that the spirit had escaped from the board and was now loose in the house.

They searched the house, but there was no sign of the spirit. They were about to give up when they heard a strange noise coming from the attic. Emma's heart pounded as they cautiously made their way up the stairs.

The attic was empty, but Emma felt a cold breeze blow across her face. Suddenly, a figure appeared before them. It was the ghost of a woman, her eyes filled with anger and hatred.

The group tried to run, but the ghost followed them, her haunting laughter echoing through the house. As Emma and her friends tried to escape the ghost, they stumbled and fell down a flight of stairs. The group was left battered and bruised, and Emma had broken her leg. The ghostly figure laughed maniacally as it disappeared from view.

Desperate to escape the haunted house, the group made their way to the front door, only to find that it was now locked from the outside. The windows were boarded shut, and there was no way out.

As the hours passed, the group grew more and more panicked. The ghostly figure continued to haunt them, appearing out of nowhere and disappearing just as quickly. They were trapped, with no hope of escape.

The group huddled together, trying to stay calm. But the ghost's laughter and taunts echoed through the house, sending shivers down their spines. They knew that they were in grave danger.

As the night wore on, the group grew more and more exhausted. They couldn't keep their eyes open, and soon, they fell into a restless sleep. But even in their dreams, the ghostly figure continued to haunt them, tormenting them with its presence.

The next morning, the group awoke to find that the ghostly figure had vanished. The windows were no longer boarded shut, and the front door was now unlocked. They stumbled outside, relieved to be free of the haunted house.

Emma knew that she had narrowly escaped with her life. She had never been so terrified in all her life, and the memory of the ghostly figure would stay with her forever. She vowed never to dabble in the world of the supernatural again, knowing that the consequences could be deadly.

As Emma and her friends made their way home, they knew that they had been lucky to survive. But the memory of the haunted house and the ghostly figure would haunt them for the rest of their lives...
