The Nightmare on Highway 301
Out of The Dream Challenge

I saw the headlights coming down the interstate, and it was a little too close for comfort. We were coming back from picking his car up from the port, shipped from Germany.
I stepped on the gas, I was following my new husband, and I instantly learned something about him. He was immature, and didn't watch behind him for his new wife being about to run off the road. He was bopping his head to the music of the beach boys. He wasn't meant to be married, and I knew instantanously I had made a mistake.
I was heading home, when the two cars approached me and swerved way over in my lane. I felt like I was fighting for my life, one after another, they were swerving into my lane and trying to push me off of the road.
I swerved off the road not once but twice, and then a third time. I could see a man with a hood over his head, and the other had a mask on his face.
I will never forget the image of the cars and how they took turns trying to run me off of the road. One had a white car, and the other had a blue car. They were both waving their hands trying to get me to stop, however, I didn't want to do that, I didn't know what they wanted, but I knew it wasn't good. The man with the mask on looked scruffy at best, and I couldn't see what the man with the hood on looked like.
On the interstate you always pray, you don't see a policeman and you always do, when you are speeding. Now where was one, when you suddenly needed one. Suddenly the white car got aggressive and pulled over and ran me off on the side of the road. I grabbed on to the wheel and stepped on the gas, hoping that I would not slide off the side of the road in the ditch.
I felt my tires spin, in the gravel, and I stepped on the gas even harder, and I felt my back end of my car, slip off the payment into the grass, and my heart was thumping with fear
However, suddenly. I gunned the gas pedal and I went ahead of the white car and onto the highway again. I gazed up upon the car in front of me, which had my husband bouncing his head to the Beach Boys tape, and I wish I had thrown it away, and I pushed on the horn with all my might.
I blew and blew my horn, but my new husband never responded in any way. In fact he acted like he never heard it at all. I was furious, but my fury turned to relief, when the white and blue car, drove down the interstate in a hurry, just in time for my new husband to turn into the rest stop, and I immediately turned in behind him, and he said, "I noticed you were way far over, are you okay?"
I said, "Didn't you hear my horn, and when exactly did you see I was having trouble?"
I glanced up to see if you were still behind me, and I noticed you were a bit far to the right.
I was relieved to see that it was all over, and I simply said to him, "You have a lot to learn."
I squinted my eyes, as I saw the bright lights plainly said "Motel", and I felt my hand was touching something soft. and I heard the awful howling sound, and I noticed my hand, and I was clutching my own pillow.
The howling sound was none other than my new husband, apparently I was in for a lifetime of snoring. --- Loud, howling, snoring.
As I looked out the window, I saw both of our vehicles in the parking lot parked out in front of room 13. I nudged him to turn over on his side, and he did, and the howling sound stopped.
Maybe he doesn't have as much to learn as I thought.....................
