It is one of the scariest urban legends in the history of America. this is an urban legend story which turned into a true event after years. Before 100 years, people who were slaves would be more afraid of the name the Night Doctors. Even though it started as an urban legend, later in the future, in front of the people’s eyes, some disastrous events took place.

Even the president of America apologized for the event. Late at night, a person fully covered in robes will roam inside the city and on the outskirts of the city. If they saw any black-skinned people, they would kidnap them and take them to their place. There they would torture them and forcefully do different medical experiments on them.

They would also kill them at the end. The stories of this legend were widely spread in the areas of Georgia and Alabama. The same legend is named differently in New Orleans. They were called needle men or black bottle men. The needle man would kidnap the black people and fill their bodies with poison with the help of a small needle. Then, after injecting the poison, they would deliver the body for research in different hospitals. The story started spreading like wildfire. Many black people in America started panicking after hearing the stories. Who would not be afraid after hearing these kinds of stories?

People also say that this story was made up by the white farm owner. Under the rule of Abraham Lincoln, the black people in America were set free to live on their own. But the farm owners, who wanted the black people to work under them, spread rumours about this doctor in order to keep them working under them forever. In order to add the essence of the legends, many things in development make it look like the legend was true.

During the time period when surgery was introduced, for sample surgeries, doctors needed dead bodies to practice on. People would take freshly buried dead bodies from the grave. It is called "grave robbery." But in America, people have exclusively started taking the dead bodies of black people. The black people were not able to raise their voices against this because they were slaves during that period of time. These kinds of rituals were followed by Ku Klux Klan people who worked against the black people in America. In 1932, more than 600 people were taken to be a part of the Tuskegee Syphilis Study.

People were told that they would take care of the food and shelter for them. The researchers never told the people what kind of disease syphilis is. This study took place for nearly 40 years. They told the people that they were trying to find medicine for the syphilis disease. In the 1950's, penicillin was used as an antidote for syphilis. The people in the study were not provided with penicillin. The study took place in 1972. The public started questioning the study.

A group containing nine members was formed to investigate this. The investigative group was shocked to find out about the events happening in the study. They told Tuskegee University to shut down the program immediately.

Then, in 1973, they filed a case against the university. Then, in 1974, the court ordered the university to pay a fine of 10 million dollars. The court also stated that it will cover all medical expenses for the entire families involved in the disastrous event. Then President Bill Clinton apologized to the whole of America for this kind of act. This is the real version of the urban legend that is portrayed as a night doctor.
