THE MANSION

Horror story

The old, abandoned mansion on the outskirts of town had always been a source of fascination for the local kids. They would dare each other to go inside, but no one ever had the guts to actually do it. That is, until a group of teenagers decided to spend the night there.

The group consisted of five friends: Sarah, Jake, Kelly, Max, and Emily. They arrived at the mansion just before midnight, armed with flashlights, sleeping bags, and a sense of adventure. As they approached the front door, they noticed that it was slightly ajar.

"Someone's been here," Max whispered.

"Or something," Kelly added with a nervous laugh.

Ignoring their fears, they stepped inside. The mansion was even more decrepit than they had imagined. The floors creaked under their feet, and the walls were covered in peeling wallpaper. But what really caught their attention was the smell. It was a musty odor, mixed with something else, something rotten.

"Ugh, what's that smell?" Sarah asked, covering her nose.

"I don't know, but it's making me sick," Emily replied, her voice shaking.

They explored the first floor, finding nothing of interest. It was only when they made their way to the second floor that things started to get strange. The hallway was dark, and their flashlights only illuminated a few feet in front of them. As they walked, they heard strange noises, like footsteps coming from behind them.

"Did you guys hear that?" Jake asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

"Yeah, it sounded like someone's following us," Max replied.

Suddenly, the floorboards beneath them creaked loudly. They froze, staring at each other in terror.

"Let's get out of here," Kelly said, her voice shaking.

But before they could turn around, something grabbed Sarah's ankle, pulling her to the ground. She screamed, thrashing around as the others tried to help her. It was then that they saw it. A hand, emerging from a crack in the floorboards. It was grey and rotting, with long, jagged nails.

They scrambled to their feet, running down the hallway as fast as they could. But the hand continued to follow them, grabbing at their ankles and tripping them up. They finally made it to a room at the end of the hall, slamming the door shut behind them.

"What the hell was that?" Emily gasped, clutching her chest.

"I don't know, but we have to get out of here," Kelly replied, her voice trembling.

They tried the door, but it was locked from the outside. They were trapped.

As they huddled together in the center of the room, they heard the sound of footsteps outside the door. They were slow and deliberate, as if whoever was out there was in no hurry. The footsteps stopped in front of the door, and they heard a low, guttural growling.

"Please, someone help us!" Sarah screamed, tears streaming down her face.

But there was no response, only the sound of the growling getting louder and louder. Suddenly, the door burst open, and they saw it. A creature, unlike anything they had ever seen before. It was tall and lanky, with grey, decaying flesh and glowing red eyes. Its mouth was full of razor-sharp teeth, and its hands were long and bony.

They tried to fight it off, but it was too strong. It tore through their flesh with ease, devouring them one by one. Their screams echoed through the mansion, but no one came to help them. They were alone with the creature, trapped in their own personal
