The Janitor's Curse: Unraveling the Mystery of the Haunted School

School is called a child's second home. A home is a place where we all feel safe, but what will happen if we don't even feel safe there?! Something similar happened with thirteen-year-old Sophie

Sophie had participated in a singing competition and after finishing school she had to stay back for the rehearsals of her competition along with her two other friends Emma and Olivia.

During the rehearsal, Emma fell, she twisted her ankle and wriggled in pain. All the teachers of the school had left and there was no one the kids could go to for help. Sophie ran towards the medical room but even that was locked.

At that moment, Sophie felt that someone had gone upstairs from behind her. When she turned, she saw someone's shadow going upstairs. The higher she climbed, the more she could sense the shadowy figure making its way up ahead. Wondering if it might be a remaining staff member, she followed cautiously, hoping to find an explanation.

She reached the third floor of the school where no one was allowed to go except the school staff. Sophie stood by the stairs and started calling out, but she didn't get any response. She went further ahead and found that there was only one room on that floor, which was also locked.

Sophie couldn't comprehend what had happened, so she ignored it, thinking the shadow was just a figment of her imagination. But just then, she heard a strange noise. When she turned and looked towards the room, she saw that the lock, which was on the door, was broken and lying down. Sophie was surprised.

When she went into that room, she saw that a man was in there and he was facing the window. She asked him if he would come down with her and help Emma, but the man did not respond. Sophie felt weird. She once again shouted, and that's when the door behind her got shut on its own.

Sophie got very nervous. She went to the door and tried opening it, but it wouldn't open. Just then, Sophie heard the man behind her laughing. He had spooky laughter, and slowly it was getting louder. She didn't have the guts to look back and went on banging the door, "Is anyone out there? Help me get out!" While she was at it, Sophie felt a slight breeze on her neck.

When she looked back, her heart pounded. The man who was facing the window was standing right in front of her. There was a faint smile on his face that sent chills down Sophie's bones. He stared at her in such a way as if he was going to kill her.

He grabbed her and pulled her closer. Sophie burst out crying and let out a very loud scream. The man shut her mouth and started misbehaving with her. On the other side, Olivia was looking for Sophie, and after hearing her scream, he took the guard along with her to the third floor.

They rushed into that room and found Sophie sitting on the floor, crying all by herself. Her skirt was slightly torn from the top, and she had bruises on her face. She told them everything that happened to her.

Hearing this incident with Sophie, the face of that school guard turned pale. He told Sophie and her friends that a few years back, a janitor used to work in that school. He was a bit crazy, and he used to laugh at the girls with a very perverse gaze. One time, he even misbehaved with a girl. When a girl complained about him, the principal suspended the janitor. Within a week of that incident, the man went to the storage room on the third floor and killed himself. Nobody got to know about his death for some days. The janitor's body was found in a horrible condition, and since then, everyone was barred from going on the school's third floor.

This incident disturbed Sophie so much that she didn't go to school for a few days. In fact, in a few months, she joined a new school. To date, Sophie could never forget that horrible man's scary laugh.
