Robbers, Thieves, and Burglars (2015)

This film is just over three minutes in length. This Indie Film was created by Lazy Bum Films, which appears associated with Lukes 3D on Youtube.

Further research could not find any other titles associated with "Lazy Bum Films," but the associated Lukes 3D has several titles.

This lows budget project is a classic example of short YouTube productions created for film festivals. "Lazy Bum Films" was faced with a "Horror" theme for an October Film Festival. Much to the creator of creative film mind, Lucas Holden the film went with a Horror Comedy Theme.

Lucas Holden would hold many roles in this production from, Actor, Director, Writer, and, I suspect, Film Editor and more.

For no budget, the effects worked well, at least sort of. The galloping Horsehead Axeman might be genuinely the star of the film. It is a shame there is no logline for this short film. This critic would suggest maybe, "Be Careful where you rob."

The Robs in this film

Robber (1) Lucas Holden

Robber (2) Kalab BeerVanMeter

Fast Moving Witch In Office

Heidi Hampton

Horsehead Axman

Dan Holden

(Related to Lucas Holden?)

This short film is about the misadventures of two would-be thieves. Watching these two in-action shows, they are not professionals by any stretch of the imagination. One has a mask. The other has it but does not wear it. When watching this film, observes the items Robber (1) places in his bag.

The attacking spiders had some light humour, as does the gentleman wearing a Horsehead carrying a medieval axe. The fast-moving Witch was just that, fast-moving. Would have enjoyed it if she at least hit them with a pie or something. The train was mildly amusing, but maybe a roaring tiger or skeleton would have worked more successfully.

Sequel? I doubt this very much as it was for a film festival some six or more years ago. Mind you it would be amusing to see the same two dudes go back to the same office six years later.

The critic did attempt to reach out to the cast and director, but sadly like with so many short Indie Style Films on YouTube, the cast and crew vanish. WOW, just like the Witch in this film.

For anyone that has been involved in creating a movie for a Film Festival, the creating process is no easy task. Struggling with limited time and resources. Insane deadlines, finding actors and crew and getting it all out in a short period can drive even the best into insane. Having been on several of these projects. I understand the heartache and the headaches as the film come together. I have also seen the joy and excitement once the project is complete.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of Indie Film rating of this film.

Things to Consider:

- Horsehead Ax Man was different than other psychotics in Festival Films.

- Despite psychotic Witch and Horsehead Dude, little actual violence is observed.

- It appeared no actual spiders were injured in the creation of this short film.

-Night effects?

-No Racist or Sexual overtones

- Flying Spiders?

- Did Robber (2) really steal GUM?

- Comedy and Horror
