The purpose of the following review of David Gordon Green's Halloween Ends is to allay some of the concerns that moviegoers typically have when going to a production that claims to be the final chapter in a narrative as great and vital as Halloween. You should be aware that the Halloween trilogy, which consists of Halloween (2018), Halloween Kills (2021), and Halloween Ends (2022), is indeed coming to an end before you go to the cinema. The movie studio is therefore permitted to produce another spin-off, but it must take place after the trilogy. The most significant horror film narrative in history must be concluded, which is a huge undertaking for David Gordon Green. Some people will like this finale, as expected, while others won't.

The ultimate showdown between Laurie Strode and Michael Myers is, as we well know, Halloween Ends' most alluring element. However, other people who are implied to be Michael Myers' potential successors have a lot more screen time than the two of them. To get to the much anticipated conclusion, the plot takes far too many turns. Allyson, Laurie's granddaughter, and Corey, the young man accused of accidently killing the child he was watching, are in love. With the exception of Laurie's showdown with Myers, the most of the plot revolves around these two people. Corey is a highly traumatised young man who plays a role in the story that is not fully explained.

As the story develops, all the pieces come together to unleash the ultimate catastrophe. The purpose of this final resolution is to put an end to Laurie's trauma as well as the collective trauma experienced by Haddonfield, the town that has endured Michael Myers's madness for 44 years. Halloween Ends features all the typical elements of a horror film, including lots of blood, screams, deaths, and chase scenes. But neither is this the best film in the trilogy nor the best in the whole saga.

Laurie Strode: the disruptive character

Laurie Strode: the disruptive character

The protagonist of this film is Laurie Strode, who has the challenging task of eradicating Michael Myer from the face of the planet. Jamie Lee Curtis portrays Laurie Strode. She is determined to live a tranquil life with her granddaughter at the beginning of the film, but Myers's reappearance changes everything. She must balance dealing with her own worries and unresolved, deep-seated insecurities with remaining strong in the face of difficulty.

Evil, as embodied by Michael Myers, crosses Haddonfield, the little hamlet in New Jersey where the action takes place. The satanic energy that this serial killer uses to advance the plot is what is important, not his demonic physical prowess. This implies that Evil can present itself in a variety of ways and at different times and locations. In actuality, Halloween is a silly and entertaining celebration. But when dark forces that people themselves intentionally or unintentionally invoke cross it, it turns evil.
