The Crossed Movie Trailer is Here and it Looks Terrifying

This movie looks very comic book accurate…this could be both a good and bad thing.

The Crossed trailer has finally been released, and it looks like one of the sickest horror movies ever made. The same director who made this film made another one called The Sadness, one that completely shattered me the first time I watched it. This director knows how to make his audiences uncomfortable, scared, and disgusted. What’s crazy is that The Sadness did not come off as shock value to me, but more like a great storyline with the most disturbing scenes I have seen in a horror film.

Once I learned about this same director being chosen to tackle The Crossed, I wasn’t even surprised. The Crossed is based on a comic book, one that is known for it’s depravity and extreme shock value. People become infected, earning the nickname the Crossed, and they go after anyone, either to infect, kill, or torture. Only very few of these stories are good, because instead of relying on gore and torture, they provide a very good storyline sometimes, and I think the best one was the very first comic book series ever released for the series. We follow the story of a group of random survivors, who must do whatever it takes to survive.

This group goes through so much terror and loss, and it’s so tough to read through this entire series. The first issue starts off incredibly strong, but damn, it was super hard for me to finish the first comic. The group of survivors have a family traveling with them, a couple and their daughter. The father stupidly claimed that salt could prevent these monsters from attacking, and the group obviously finds this theory super dumb. The group eventually gets chased by a group of these creatures, and the father freaks out when his wife hurts her ankle. She begs him to take their daughter, to save her, and leave behind the wife. The father doesn’t agree, and he decides to go along with his salt theory.

This was obviously not going to go well, and the couple is tortured to death, as the wife screams at her husband, blaming him for forcing his entire family to endure such pain and torture, as their daughter is chopped into pieces in the background.

That’s just the first issue, and if you think that’s bad, it actually gets a whole lot worse for the rest of the survivors, leaving only two of them alive. The first story ends with the last two survivors, their fates unknown as they make their way through their new world, that has been ended by the worst infection known to man.

The director who made The Sadness was definitely the perfect choice for this movie. After watching the first trailer, I think this movie has the potential to be considered one of the most messed up horror films ever made.

It looks very comic book accurate to the first series, and I’m not surprised that the director decided to tackle this one for the movie, since it is actually a pretty good story. While I think this movie has a lot of potential to be good, I don’t think I’m going to watch this movie. The Sadness was just way too much for me, and I think The Crossed is going to defeat me. I literally had to go for a walk after watching The Sadness, because the heavy content that was featured in the film traumatized me.

If I do watch this movie, it will probably just be one time, because the trauma from this watch is going to be really bad. I know I sound melodramatic, but The Sadness was such a tough movie to watch, and I know this movie is probably going to be even worse. If this film comes out in theaters, I will be in shock. I don’t think that will happen, because the Crossed is way too disturbing to even appear in theaters, so my guess it will go straight to streaming.

Are any of you interested in watching this possibly insane and disturbing film?
