The Camera Only Records What Happens Tomorrow

Every video shows the future… including the moment I die.

I bought the camera from a small street stall near the old market.

It wasn’t anything special—just an old, scratched black camcorder with a loose strap and a faint smell of dust and metal.

The man selling it barely looked at me.

“Works perfectly,” he said with a strange smile.

I laughed a little. “Looks like it survived a war.”

He didn’t respond. Just handed it over.

That should’ve been my first warning.

At home, I plugged it in.

No instructions. No brand name screen. Just a blinking red light and a single button.

I tested it by recording my room.

Nothing unusual.

My desk. My bed. The window.

Normal.

I stopped recording and played it back immediately.

At first… everything matched perfectly.

Until I noticed the timestamp.

It wasn’t today’s date.

It was tomorrow’s.

I frowned.

“Fake time setting?” I muttered.

But the camera didn’t have settings.

Only record and playback.

That night, curiosity got the better of me.

I recorded again.

Just a short clip before sleeping.

My room, empty.

Door closed.

Lights off.

Nothing special.

I went to bed thinking it was just a broken device.

But when I woke up the next morning…

Something felt off.

My room was exactly the same.

But the memory of the camera stayed in my mind.

I picked it up and played the recording.

At first, everything looked normal again.

Then—

My door slowly opened.

I froze.

Because at that exact moment in real life…

My door was still closed.

I looked up.

Then back at the screen.

In the video—

My room was already changing.

A shadow moved across the floor.

Slow.

Deliberate.

As if something had just entered.

I turned my head slowly toward the door.

Nothing.

Silence.

Still closed.

But the camera…

Kept showing movement.

A figure stood in the corner of the room in the recording.

Not fully visible.

Just… present.

Watching.

I dropped the camera slightly.

“This is some kind of glitch,” I told myself.

But my voice didn’t sound confident anymore.

The next day, I decided to test it properly.

I set the camera on the table and recorded myself leaving the room.

I closed the door behind me and waited five minutes outside.

Then I came back.

Rewatched it.

At first, normal.

Me leaving.

Door closing.

Empty room.

Then—

At timestamp 00:03:12…

The door opened again.

Slowly.

Without me touching it.

I felt my stomach drop.

“No way…”

A shadow entered.

Tall.

Still.

Too thin.

It moved like it was learning how to walk inside my space.

I rewound the video.

Watched it again.

And again.

Each time, it felt closer.

More detailed.

More real.

On the third replay—

I noticed something worse.

The figure wasn’t just in the room.

It was facing the camera.

Directly.

As if it knew I was watching.

Then it did something that made my hands go cold.

It smiled.

I slammed the camera down.

“Nope. I’m done with this.”

But it wasn’t done with me.

That night, I didn’t record anything.

I even thought about throwing the camera away.

But something stopped me.

A feeling.

Like I needed to know more.

Like I was already involved.

At 2:58 AM, I woke up suddenly.

Silence.

Too heavy.

Too perfect.

Then I remembered the camera.

I don’t know why I checked it again.

But I did.

I turned it on.

Red light blinking.

Ready.

I played the most recent recording.

My breath stopped.

It showed my room.

Me sleeping.

Peaceful.

Still.

Then—

At exactly 3:00 AM in the video…

My eyes opened.

Even though I was asleep in real life.

I sat up in the recording.

Slowly.

Unnaturally.

And looked directly at the camera.

I wasn’t moving in reality.

I was still in bed.

But the camera… showed otherwise.

Then the version of me in the video whispered something.

Silent at first.

Then clearer.

“Don’t trust the morning.”

I froze.

My blood ran cold.

The figure from before appeared behind me in the recording.

Closer than ever.

Right behind my bed.

And then—

It leaned down.

And spoke into the camera.

“I’m almost here.”

I dropped the camera.

It hit the floor—but the recording didn’t stop.

It kept playing.

Even without being held.

I slowly looked down.

The screen still glowing.

Still recording.

Still showing my room.

But now—

It showed me standing.

In the corner.

Watching myself.

Sleeping.

I backed away.

Step by step.

My throat dry.

My heartbeat loud.

The camera suddenly turned off.

Silence.

I thought it was over.

Until morning.

Because when I woke up…

The camera was on my desk again.

Facing my bed.

Recording.

And on the screen…

It showed tonight.

Not yesterday.

Not today.

Tonight.

And in the recording…

I wasn’t alone anymore.

Something was already in my room.

Waiting for me to notice it.
