The Bloodied Handprint

It was a dark and stormy night, the kind of night that sends shivers down your spine. Sarah had just finished her shift at the diner and was driving home when she saw something that made her heart skip a beat. There, on the windshield of her car, was a bloodied handprint.

She panicked and pulled over to the side of the road, her heart pounding in her chest. She tried to wipe the handprint away, but it wouldn't budge. It was as if it had been etched onto the glass.

She got back into her car and drove home, her mind racing with fear and uncertainty. Who had put the handprint there? Was someone watching her? She couldn't shake the feeling that she was being followed.

When she got home, she locked all the doors and windows, but she couldn't shake the feeling of unease. As she sat on her couch, trying to calm down, she heard a strange noise outside. It sounded like someone was tapping on her window.

She slowly approached the window, her heart pounding in her chest. She peeked through the curtains, and what she saw made her scream in terror. There, staring back at her, was a face covered in blood. It was the face of a man she didn't recognize, and he was grinning at her with a twisted smile.

Sarah backed away from the window, her mind racing. She knew she had to call the police, but her phone was in the other room. She tried to make a run for it, but the man was faster. He grabbed her by the arm, his grip tight and painful.

Sarah struggled, trying to break free, but he was too strong. He dragged her towards the front door, and as they reached the threshold, she caught a glimpse of the bloodied handprint on the door.

The man threw Sarah into his car and drove off into the night, leaving behind a trail of fear and uncertainty. She tried to fight him off, but he was too strong. She could feel his breath on her neck, his fingers digging into her skin.

After what felt like hours, the car finally came to a stop. The man dragged Sarah out of the car and into an old, abandoned house. The air was thick with the scent of decay, and the walls were covered in a thick layer of dust.

As Sarah tried to catch her breath, she saw something that made her heart skip a beat. There, on the wall, was a series of bloody handprints, as if someone had been trying to escape.

Sarah knew then that she had to get out of there, no matter what it took. She fought with all her might, and eventually managed to break free. She ran through the house, trying to find a way out, but every door seemed to be locked.

As she turned a corner, she came face to face with the man. He had a knife in his hand, and his face was twisted into a menacing grin.

Sarah ran as fast as she could, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew she had to get out of there before it was too late. She finally found a door that was unlocked and burst out into the night.

The man was hot on her heels, but Sarah was faster. She ran as fast as she could, her heart pounding in her chest, until she finally reached the road.

A car pulled up beside her, and she threw herself inside. The driver asked if she was okay, and Sarah could barely speak. She managed to tell him what had happened, and he drove her to the police station.

The police took Sarah's statement, and they searched the abandoned house. They found the man hiding in a closet, covered in blood. He was arrested and charged with kidnapping and attempted
