The Balenciaga Issue

Questions that deserve to be answered

By Courtanae HeslopPublished 2 months ago 3 min read

If you go on Google and search BALENCIAGA you will see hundreds of articles about the current backlash they are facing because of the BDSM they have integrated with children in their recent ad campaign. But what exactly is BALENCIAGA? What is the ad campaign everyone is so mad over and why? Is the reason this is so highly published because they taught they had the world at their foot stool and they are so wealthy and endorsed by the biggest celebrities why they think they could get away with this? What else should we be mad about?

BALENCIAGA according to Wikipedia is "BALENCIAGA SA is a high-end luxury fashion house founded in 1919 by the Spanish designer Cristóbal BALENCIAGA in San Sebastian, Spain. Called "the master of us all" by Christian Dior, BALENCIAGA had a reputation as a couturier of uncompromising standards."

Current Issue with their recent ad campaign

The issue with their recent ad campaign displays children with teddy bears in bondage fits as shown in the photo below:

People are in a frenzy about this; looking at the child's face, she does seem to be in shock and unaware. Who approved this ad campaign? Who took the photo? Who authorized this ad? Where are their parents? Who sat in these meetings while this was being discussed? Who were their intended target market?

Is the reason this is so highly published because they taught, they had the world at their foot stool and they are so wealthy and endorsed by the biggest celebrities why they think they could get away with this?

BALENCIAGA has the biggest celebrities endorsing them over the years who include:

· The Kardashians

· Alessandra Steinherr

· Julia Nobis

· Kenya Kinski-Jones

· Hari Nef

· Beyonce

· Ashley Simpson

· Katie Holmes

· Etc

Did they think because of all of these high profile celebrities they could do what they want and the world would follow because our fav's endorse them?

All of a sudden, Ye doesn't seem crazy, right?

BALENCIAGA is not a small or medium business, they are worth about $51.28 million (as of November 1, 2022) which implies that they have a ridiculous amount of approvals to go through even before posting on social media, much less an ad campaign. Are you telling me that the numerous influencing parties including social media, editors, photographers, parents, managers, VP's and so forth saw absolutely nothing wrong with even the thought of this much less allowing this to go public?

BALENCIAGA issued a public apology on their Instagram page: Is it genuine? Or is that they never thought people would go ballistic to the point of starting "#cancelBALENCIAGA and calling out their celebrity influencers such as Kim Kardashian for not speaking on the matter?

Is this something that BALENCIAGA can recover from? They have recently removed all posts from their social media pages - basically going ghost on us after issuing their apology.

What else should we be mad about?

Child Abuse / Pornography is something we should be mad about. It is absolutely disgusting in every sense. Why on earth would you even think to do something so vile and horrible? But is there anything else the world should be mad about and start a virtual riot about? What about companies like Stripe scamming small businesses out of their hard-earned money? What about the paedophiles being placed in positions where they are around children? What about conspiracies about the government murdering people actually being true? What about the rich elites deliberately making it hard for all of us to live as one - for the sole purpose - of making more money? What about rappers dying and all this talk about who is sacrificing who to become richer and more famous? What about people changing genders, offended when straight's or natural born sex persons don't accept them but no one talks about how changing from a male to a female offends the real female? What about a transgender getting "female" of the year over a natural born female? The Grammys being rigged? What about the persons working their butt off to earn their degrees are being passed over by people who have "links". Shall I continue?
