Happy Halloween Playlist
A different take on Halloween When it comes to Halloween, everyone has different tastes. My playlist of eight spooktacular tunes is for those who enjoy the fun element of the evening and want to expound upon the 'What if"? rather than having everything laid out for them (literally and figuratively). During the late 1960s and early 1970s when I actively participated in Halloween and went trick or treating it was all about fun. We did not have today's technology so much was left to the imagination. My playlist is songs from the 60s,70s, and 80s. I will be telling a tale along the way that is somewhat related that encouraged me to choose the songs you will be listening to. If you enjoy the playlist and or my tale please leave a heart and a tip and I thank you in advance.

Track or Treat
Halloween. Arguably the best holiday of the year. The cool, fall air brings relief from the hot, summer sun, kids are running about dressed up as their favorite heroes and characters, and free candy. Even as an adult, I can’t say no to free candy (I sneak all my kid’s Reese’s). However, Halloween is not complete without these three things: watching Hocus Pocus, binging horror movies with the woman I love, and the perfect Halloween playlist. On that note, I present to you the soundtrack for your next Halloween party.

Halloween 2021 is coming to us. To spread the joy of horror and excitement. But without your family Halloween or any other event is just a holiday where you have nothing to do. The ones who are spending this holiday with their families are the lucky ones. And I'm writing for those who want these lucky moments to be remarkable.

As we get to the colder months and the leaves begin to change there is one holiday that can really take your breath away. I, of course, am talking about Halloween and all the screams that come with it.

A thick, impenetrable mist surrounds me on all sides. I stop to take a look around only find myself surrounded by a menacing group of vampires. Their sharp eyes penetrate me, not with anger, or malice, but with fierce hunger. My heart increased its rhythm to a hammering stutter. Could they feel my fear, smell it, hear the thudding inside my chest? I realize this group is starving. They need sustenance, and look upon me as a feast. How did I find myself in this dire situation? Better yet, how was I going to escape with my life intact? There was no hope of fighting them and living to tell the tale. Though I knew deep inside my death was at hand, a shred of hope still lingered like the last leaf on a tree caught in a hurricane.

You know those stories your friends and you tell around camp fires? Or the scary tales of creatures going bump in the night? Creatures under your bed or in your closet ready to pounce at any moment and the feeling of fright washes over you as you run and hide from the worst. Well I hate to break it to you, but it's true, Boogeymen do exist just not in the forms you think they exist in. Contrary to popular belief these things don't always hide. Sometimes they are in plain site, watching and waiting. Sometimes you cant see them and at other times you interact with them on the daily bases.

Feet blister and tire through passages of sticks and mud. A whip gallops off of the lightly brown-tinted back of Jacob, creating passageways for the inside of his flesh to dance through, whilst he screams “MAMA!”
