The Laughter in The Mangrove
Long before skyscrapers pierced the sky of Jakarta, before the malls and toll roads, the northern coastline was home to a dark, untamed mangrove forest. The locals called it Bakau Hitam, the Black Mangrove. Fishermen avoided it, and even the bravest never stayed past sundown. They whispered of something ancient—Nyai Rara Kunti, the forgotten sea mother of the Java Sea, who was banished inland after a betrayal by the gods of the southern ocean.

Shadow Man
Once night falls, a shadow man comes out of the jungle. At first, Manaf laughed it off. Typical rural folklore meant to spread fear, he thought. But when he saw the fear in the eyes of an elderly villager, Fazlu Chacha, the intrigue crept into his blood.

"She Still Texts from the Grave" –
The first text came during her funeral. It buzzed against my thigh like a rude, mechanical whisper amid the preacher’s eulogy. I glanced down at my phone, fully prepared to silence it—until I saw the name. Emily. My girlfriend. Deceased. Buried, at that moment, six feet beneath our feet. The message simply read: “Why aren’t you answering?” At first, I thought it was some cruel trick—a hacker, maybe, or some weird phone glitch. I didn’t even tell anyone. How could I? “Hey, my dead girlfriend just texted me,” isn’t something you drop into casual conversation while people are crying over her casket. I kept staring at the screen until my cousin nudged me. “Dude, it’s your turn to speak.” I stumbled up, eyes still flicking back to the message. Emily’s voice echoed in my head, sarcastic and amused. “You better not make me sound boring, Ryan.” I managed a short, clumsy tribute. Said the right things. Left out the part where the dead were now digitally haunting me. Later that night, alone in my apartment, I opened our old chat thread. The message was still there. Blue bubble. No glitch. No error. “Why aren’t you answering?” I typed back: “Emily…?” Three blinking dots appeared. I swear my heart stopped. “It’s cold down here.” The phone slipped from my hand. I let it lie face-down on the floor while my mind raced for a logical explanation. Ghosts don’t text. People don’t claw their way back through 5G networks. I remembered her phone had been buried with her—she wanted it, even joked that she'd be texting me from the afterlife. Now I wasn’t laughing. The next few days blurred. More messages followed—always short, always chilling. “It’s dark.” “I miss the light.” “Why did you let them close the lid?” I didn’t reply after that. I couldn’t. Then came the audio file. It appeared randomly in our chat one night around 2:17 a.m. No sender, no description. Just a waveform icon and the message: “Listen.” My thumb hovered over it for a full five minutes. Finally, I pressed play. A soft rustling, like fabric against wood. Faint breathing. A whisper: “Ryan…” Then scratching. Hard, desperate scraping. Something hollow thudding again and again, like fists against wood. I threw the phone across the room. But it didn’t stop there. My lights began flickering. The sound of scratching echoed through the walls, even when my phone was off. My TV turned on by itself—static, then black, then her face for a split second, mouth open like she was screaming silently. One night, I went to the cemetery. Needed to see for myself. Her grave looked undisturbed—but as I knelt beside it, my phone buzzed again. “I can hear you. Don’t leave me.” I dropped the phone and backed away. My breath clouded in the summer night air, the sudden cold impossible to explain. A sound rose beneath the ground—a muffled moan, like someone trying to scream with soil in their mouth. I ran. Days turned into a torment. Sleep became impossible. I saw her face in reflections—in my coffee, in car windows, even in puddles. Always looking up. Always staring. I tried deleting the messages. They came back. I tried destroying the phone. Bought a new one. The texts resumed the next day. Then, I remembered something Emily had said once, during one of our late-night talks, lying on the couch. “If I ever die, and you ghost me, I swear I’ll haunt your ass. Love doesn’t just disappear, you know?” I thought she was joking. Now, I wasn’t so sure. I contacted a psychic. She told me to visit the grave one last time and speak aloud the truth I’d never said while she was alive. So I went. Night again. Same cold creeping in. I stood at her headstone and whispered, “I’m sorry. I loved you, but I was going to break up with you. I didn’t want to lie anymore. I should’ve told you. I’m sorry, Em. I’m so sorry.” Silence. No texts came that night. Or the next. Or the next. I thought it was over. Until this morning. I woke up to a new message. This one different. “I know. But now… you’re mine.” Then my phone died completely—battery fully charged, just gone black. Lights out. No signal. That was three hours ago. Now, there’s scratching inside my walls again. And the mirrors? She’s not just staring anymore. She’s smiling.

"5 Shocking and Terrifying Moments Captured on Camera"
"5 Shocking and Terrifying Moments Captured on Camera" Number 5, it's been estimated that Nationwide. There are 600,000 ski related injuries per year and an average of 54 deaths per year, the most common causes of death or injury while skiing are hitting a tree or falling off a cliff. 54% of these deaths occurred on beginner-friendly Trails, while 31% were an expert trails. Surprisingly, the increase in the number of people who wear helmets, hasn't resulted in fewer fatalities, Helmets are designed to protect Riders at about 12 mph while skier or snowboarder who collides with a tree or another Rider is typically going 25 to 40 mph. The 3 videos, you're about to see are a horrifying skiing accidents that can happen to anybody. Fortunately, all the skiers in these videos survived. Oh shit. By some miracle, all these men went home with only broken bones. Number 4, Sarah Jones was a camera woman, who died at the age of 27. While in the set of midnight writer, she was struck by passing train as the film crew. Desperately tried to remove the props from the tracks. There are 2 different videos, capturing the moment 1 from on board, the train and 1 from the crew capturing and higher quality. The Frantic moments, just before impact, as they try to pull the hospital bed off the track. This footage is definitely chilling, especially knowing how Sarah lost her life, just seconds after the clip ends abruptly. As you can see in the video, the crew wasn't able to remove the hospital bed in time. When the train collided with the bed. It recoiled and struck Sarah propelling, her into the train where she was struck and killed instantly. The filmmakers were attempting to shoot a dream sequence involving an actor. Playing Gregg Allman, who was laying in the hospital bed, placed on the train tracks, There were attempts to drop the scene from the movie but director, Randall Miller eventually proceeded with the now. Deadly filming. He was later, tried and pleaded guilty to manslaughter serving 2 years in prison. Number 3, there's an activity called zorbing. We involves a giant inflatable ball in which people strapped themselves, then bounced down a ski slope or a hill. Presumably have a good time doing so Action being stuck in said, ball tumbling down a hill veering off, the designated path and rolling down the side of a mountain with absolutely no control. That's exactly what happened to 2 Men in Russia, in 2013. At the Dawn by ski resort the video, you're about to see was filmed on a cell phone by a friend of the 2 Men. Truly horrifying to see the helplessness of the situation. At 1 point, you can see somebody managed to get in front of the ball and momentarily, stop it. But unfortunately, that didn't last long The ball tumbled down the mountain for almost a mile slamming into rocks as it picked up speed. When the 2 men were found inside the ball, they were rushed to the hospital. 1 of the men Dennis burakov, each 27, injured, his spinal cord and died on the way to the hospital. The other man Vladimir sharikov aged, 33 suffered a concussion and deep cuts to his arms and face. Number 2. 2 men were out for a workout running in the matchy toe and trails in Alberta Canada causing workout when they had to pause the workout after being interrupted by an unwanted guest. A black bear emerges from the woods and begins closely stalking the 2, Men, likely waiting for the perfect moment to strike. 2, Men wisely huddle closely together to appear bigger as you can hear them say many times throughout the video which proves to be successful in keeping the bear at Bay. That's it. As far as you going stop. Stop. Right now, stop Can't get a good good good, this together. I look bigger together. Again, man. There's an alarming amount of people who believe this bear was just being playful. When in reality over, 90% of black bear, encounters are predatory. It was more than likely not an experienced bear and it was testing them to figure out if they would be worth the energy and effort to attack. If anybody should ever encounter a bear, never take it lightly or assume the bear just wants to be friendly as that's almost. Never the case. Different kinds of bears, call for different kinds of actions to be taken, for example, standing still like a plank or playing dead. Fortunately, the bare in this video, eventually seemed to lose interest in the men giving them enough time to make their escape Resuming workout though, it wasn't a good idea for them to start running away in such a close proximity to the bear. Had there not been 2 people in that encounter that bear would have most likely attacked Number 1. This is perhaps 1 of the most horrifying natural disaster videos. You could find Not only does It capture the horrifyingly destructive ef4 tornado, but it shows the horror that ensues for many people as their houses cars and whole towns are completely destroyed when they're tracked in the middle of tornadoes or other disasters. We can see at the start of the video, it seems to be very nice. Wealthier area was nice, looking houses in the background and a lot of green and open land. And in that same shot, we see the tornado that's about to destroy it. All The manhole in the camera then goes to comfort. Either his wife or daughter and we see nothing but Blackness, but listen as the tornado passes directly over the house, destroying everything outside. Holy moly. All right. God damn it, bad. It's, we're going to get some shit here. I hope somebody. Oh, No, not yet. No. Oh my God. Josie you can feel the man's dread as he then has to go outside to see the damage. Holy moly. Oh my God. Our house is freaking destroyed Josie. My God. There's something in shock. I can't believe this happened. Oh my God. Josie the neighbor's houses are gone. Josie. She then gets another shot outside from where he was at the beginning of the video and sees nothing but Rubble for miles. Turned into this. And only a matter of a minute. All those nice trees and houses, you saw in the background are completely gone. It just goes to show you the true power of Mother Nature and a horrifying way and that Can always win.
