The Child
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. It just so happened to be this same cabin that lies behind us. The same cabin that we will be sleeping in tonight. A candle lit in that window there. You see, years ago a family had just bought this cabin as a vacation home. A newlywed couple and their baby. Even back then it was old and run down. Perhaps more so than it is now, and that’s how they could afford it. So they spent that summer rebuilding it, or at least the husband did while the mother went to work at a nearby diner.

Little Nightmares
Witch in Town We took what we wanted whenever we wanted. Death came easily, followed by lust and deceit. We’d laugh and drink wine and ale, proudly boasting of our endeavors. At night we’d dance skyclad, worshiping our gods and deities with pure devotion. We never remembered yesterday or dreamed of tomorrow. We lived in the now and those were good times.

The Truth About The Flame
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. As was often the case, Elizabeth was observing the cabin from a safe distance. She wasn't sure how long she stood breathless and motionless, but when she regained her faculties, she considered running. Instead, she called Bako and Akilah and asked them to meet her.

Come Mourning
You can hear the quarreling getting loud as the group in the car was lost on the lonely dark road. The little sedan of a car could only hold so many passengers of five with angry confused looks on their faces. They only had so much gas in the car on the deserted-looking road at night. They were going nowhere fast and it looked like a long night ahead with it only being 2:45 p.m. America screamed "Do you even know where you are going?" to Sean. Sean was ready to lose his cool and explode into a rage against America. He had to calm down and speak with gritted teeth to America. "Why don't you slow down and see why the GPS doesn't work or any of our electronics for goodness sake," said Sean to America. It was like they all were in a dead zone area where nothing worked even barely the car as the electrical in the car started to go in and out to turn off the car. Sam the other person in the car screamed out of desperation "we need to get to the cabin fast or we are going to freeze to death in this car!" Shivering and teeth chattering Tom let his opinion be heard in a loud matter, "Now how are we supposed to do that with the car turning off?" It was Brittany's turn now to talk out of frustrated annoyance, "Don't worry everyone we will get there eventually like next year." They all seem to be uptight and cynical about getting to their destination. While the group sat cold and grumpy in the car a great fog started to cover the area. It was only an hour later and nothing had changed as the car was at a standstill as if frozen in time.

The Crow and the Widow
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. Jack stopped dead in his tracks, his flashlight falling from his grasp with a soft thud as it rolled across the forest floor. “Jack? What’s wrong?” Celeste called out with the faintest of urgency. Jack pointed to the amber glow emitting in the distance between the pines. “Someone’s in there. We need to go”.

Conclusion: The Faucet and its Drips
~ It invades my ears just like a sweet melody...but it's far from one in reality... ~It can drive you to insanity... ~ In uniform, the campers skip about around a bonfire in the centre of the hall, the song rolling off their lips as I can finally discern what it's made up of.

Luciana
The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. The man who wandered these moonlit woods in the stifling southern heat was startled when he noticed the hint of flickering light. But just as he observed it, a gust of wind caused thick Spanish moss-draped oak branches to sway overhead. The brittle white moss resembled a dense curtain of spider webs, concealing the light behind a flowing barricade.

a house aflame
Mabel held her close to her body. The girl's self was ravaged of all its humanity, its purity and grace, all its existence. The tears slowed now, they were steady droplets collecting in the freshly formed pool of blood. The loud ruckus from outside began to seep through the bedroom. A shattering crackle of glass, then the muffled sound of erupting fire became too apparent for Mabel to ignore. She had to leave, and soon. "I love you my baby girl." Her voice was choked, though loud enough for her daughter to hear, even though she knew the girl could not hear, or move or blink. Belladie stared back with macabre emptiness as her mother closed her eyelids shut and finished her goodbye with a gentle kiss on her forehead.
