The Return of the Mysterious Letter
On that chilly, foggy evening, Maya discovered the missive left on her door. She wasn't prepared for mail, and especially not one in the form of a battered, yellowed envelope with no return address. The exquisite cursive writing of her name glistened on the torn paper. With a nagging curiosity, she knelt down and took it up.

The Thrill of a Horror Story
There’s something oddly fascinating about being scared. Even though we may scream, cover our eyes, or feel a rush of panic, many of us can’t resist diving into a good horror story. But what exactly is it that draws people to fear, and why do horror stories captivate us?

The Box. Content Warning.
Watching the grandkids helping me clear out the cupboards warmed my heart. Yes, they were being bribed with money and chocolate to do so, but still it made me smile. The youngest one trotting around in my old high heels, the other two pottering around looking for anything they could keep.

The Neckbreaker
I had only ever seen the Neck-breaker once. And that was when my grandfather had died. She had come for him under the dusk of the setting evening sun disguised as a cloaked stranger, but I knew who she was. I knew what revelry was afoot. My grandfather had warned me about her. About her magic tricks, and her deceitful ways.

The Unknown Voice of the Night
Anika first heard the voice on a quiet, starless night. Her tiny community was well-known for its quiet, serene evenings. After dusk, no one wandered the streets; the only sound in the air was the soft rustle of leaves in the wind. However, this evening was unique.

The A-Frame
I wake up suddenly and in a panic, in the middle of the night. I blink a few times, looking around to realize I’m in the living room. Not of my current apartment, but of the old house I used to live in. Confused, I swing my legs off the couch and stand shakily. There’s a sound coming from down the hall, and the smell of smoke with a sickening undertone I can’t place.

Monster on the bus
It's black eyes met hers and she looked petrified, eyes bulging in confusion and terror, as this tall, wire thin, spidery, humanoid monster stretched its ear to ear smile, revealing its many different sized shark teeth. Aimee wanted to scream, she wanted to stand and run off the bus and flee from this hideous, unspeakable thing! Yet all she could do was tremble in fear, her blood running cold, sweat creeping down her spine as her heart beated far too fast! She wondered why nobody else reacted to the strange creature, she thought she was going mad. That her teenage imagination was giving her this bizarre and horrifying hallucination, then as the old lady climbed onboard, she hoped the monster wouldn't follow in behind her, but it did. Oh yes, it did. It phased right through the humans like they were ghosts, bending forwards on all fours because it was far too tall to stand inside the bus. The way it moved was like a giant spider, crawling towards her with a terrible hunger within its empty soulless eyes, in that moment she knew what this twisted demon wanted; her soul. She let out this long, pained whine that alerted the other passengers. Then the driver pulled the bus into gear and drove.
