Pariahs, outcasts, we were designed for destruction and existed for experimentation and extermination. Though we lived in fear of our sorry mortal coils being unwound, we tried to live positively.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows over the dense foliage, a sense of unease settled upon the group of friends hiking through the ancient forest. The tall trees loomed overhead like spectral sentinels, their gnarled branches clawing at the sky in a twisted dance of darkness. The air was thick with an oppressive stillness, broken only by the rustling of unseen creatures and the distant cry of a lone wolf.

You could step on the overgrown lawn, toilet paper and egg the house to kingdom come, videotape it like it was the setting of a kid's shaky Halloween video. You could even go, knock on the door, and run away from whatever supposed urban legend the kids said was supposed to come out.
